Petition to have a second Presbyterian Church established in Oswego due to the dissatisfaction of some memebrs with the pastor James Abell (who resigned 1830). Hand written notes on church members, church property, and church suppliers. Names of persons who left to form the Second Presbyterian Church (Congregational?) in 1837. All the names and origins of those who subsequently joined the congregation from 1837-1857 (typescript from original records by "Mrs. Kellogg").
