The Women's National Book Association Papers document the history and work of the Women's National Book Association from their founding in 1917 until today. The organization is active in promoting women in the book industry through awards and programs to increase women's participation in the profession and the role of women in publishing and other book-related fields.

This collection is comprised of one series: Print Material. Print Material includes original clippings and copies of newspaper articles from Rochester newspapers like the Democratic and Chronicle as well as national publications like the New York Times. These articles range in date from 1852-2011. This series also includes programs and pamphlets containing event announcements, book publication announcements, as well as postcards and commemorative printed materials. There are also two plays written by Arlene Brent Fanale as well as papers given by Richard S. Gilbert in 2001 titled, "The Religion of Susan B. Anthony," and a second paper by an unnamed presenter titled, "Anthony and Douglass: Friends and Allies," delivered in 2006. There are three photographs taken at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C., two of a bust of Susan B. Anthony, and the third capturing a deck of playing cards sold in the gift shop. Finally, there are two video tapes titled, "Great American for Children": Susan B. Anthony and Seneca Reflections: Celebrating 150 Years of Women's Rights, and one record album titled, The Mother of Us All: An Opera.

The records of W.R. Grace & Co. cover the rise of the Grace shipping business from 1864 until World War II. The early correspondence concerns all aspects of the shipping business in New York and South America, mining interests in Peru and Chile, the railroad in Costa Rica, the inter-ocean canal planned for Nicaragua, and political interests throughout Central and South America. There are letter books, correspondence, and scrapbooks of clippings for all aspects of W.R. Grace's career. There are minute books and other documents for more than 50 subsidiary companies owned by W.R. Grace & Co. or by family members. The papers of Joseph Peter Grace (1872-1950) continue the business, family, and philanthropic activities until 1942. There are also 20 reels of motion picture film about the Grace Co. South American interests in the 1950s.

The Writers Workshop Collection consists of primarily of photographs taken by James S. Peck. Mr. Peck was formerly the Director of Public Relations for the Graduate School of Management (today the Simon Graduate School of Business). He had also handled public relations and promotional activities for Dean Robert Koch of the University School, which included both the Writers Workshop and the University Summer Theater. The collection also contains the annual flyers or programs for most of the years of the series.

The Young Women's Christian Association of Rochester and Monroe County Collection is comprised of six series:

The collection documents the history of the YWCA of Albany, which was founded in 1888 by a group of women led by Mrs. Acors Rathbun in order to provide housing and recreational activities for young women searching for work. Through the years, the organization expanded to include classes, childcare, athletics, essay contests, teen issue programs, and an annual awards dinner honoring women. Strengths include the extensive photographic material and meeting minutes from the board of trustees and directors. The collection is weakest at the beginning and end of the YWCA of Albany's existence.

After graduating from Parsons School of Design Fashion Design Department in 1973, Zack Carr (1945-2000) worked for B. Altman, Donald Brooks and, most importantly, as creative director for Calvin Klein. In 1984, Carr started his own line, the Zack Carr Collection, before rejoining Calvin Klein in 1987. The papers consist of items produced and compiled between 1969 and 2000, including idea books, photographs, clippings, student work, and sketches.
