As President of the Rockefeller Foundation he steers the focus toward supporting the war effort and making the world a better place through public health funding. The 1919 diary documents Vincent overseeing and getting updates on Rockefeller Foundation projects from various other officers, compiling of a hookworm bibliography, and a trip to the Far East to survey and tour medical education and public health facilities in Asia. He oversees construction of Peking Union Medical College.
