The New School Graduate Faculty established the East and Central Europe Program in 1990, expanding to become the Transregional Center for Democratic Studies (TCDS) in 1997, to foster dialogue on democratic theory and practice in East and Central Europe, Central America and southern Africa, among other regions. The collection documents the center's events, seminars, workshops, and conferences. Also includes research and course files of TCDS founder, Elzbieta Matynia.

Records of Tracyann Williams, PhD, who served as director of Academic Affairs for the Bachelor's Program for Adult and Transfer Students (BPATS) in The New School's Schools of Public Engagement until she left the university in early 2020. Includes documentation on the Diversity Committee and the Diversity Task Force, the Gender Studies program, the Faculty Senate, and Students of the African Diaspora, for whom Williams was a faculty advisor.

The Schools of Public Engagement was formed in 2011 with the reorganization of the New School for General Studies. As of 2016, the division consisted of: the Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students (BPATS); the School of Languages; the School of Media Studies; the Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy; and the Creative Writing Program. The collection also holds the 1991-2008 records of the World Policy Institute. Dating largely from the 1990s until 2014, these records contain correspondence, memoranda, reports, budget and financial material, and faculty and personnel files relating to the administration and governance of the Schools of Public Engagement and their predecessor programs, departments, and schools. The records in this collection, dating from 1985-2013, document Parsons School of Design faculty member Robert Kirkbride's involvement in faculty bodies and reviews of academic programs at The New School, primarily between 2004 and 2013, including his role as faculty advisor on the design and construction of the New School University Center at 65 Fifth Avenue. Also represented are materials documenting Kirkbride's participation in the curriculum review of various Parsons undergraduate programs and events and exhibitions in Parsons' Product Design Department.

This record group consists of documentation created by Parsons School of Design's Product Design Department between 1990-2015. The records were created or received by various individuals, including department chairs Richard Yelle and Tony Whitfield. The record group contains office files pertaining to the administration of the department and Product Design student projects.

Contains records produced during Richard Yelle's term as department chair of Product Design (as well as its predecessors: Clay, Fiber, Metal Design; Clay, Metal, Textile Design; and Clay, Metal, Textile, and Product Design). Includes administrative records, information on competitions and exhibits, student work, course descriptions, and evaluations. Also includes examples of Yelle's professional work, and a poster for a Constantin Boym exhibit.

This collection consists of records created and received by Parsons School of Design Presidents Sterling A. Callisen (president 1959-1963) and Francis A. Ruzicka (president 1963-1969), and records of the Parsons Academic Dean's Office and Business Manager from the 1950s-1960s. This collection largely documents the activities of the New School Publicity Office during the 1940s and 1950s, and reflects the range of activities of the department under the leadership of Agnes De Lima, who directed the department for two decades. The collection includes notes and draft materials for the production of press releases, articles in the weekly New School Bulletin, advertisements and course promotion, and administrative materials. Also includes materials related to the organization of art exhibitions and special events, and transcripts of radio announcements and speeches. The Dramatic Workshop, École Libre des Hautes Études and Graduate Faculty series in this collection are especially rich in describing the work of these important New School programs.

The New School Office of the University Librarian records hold reports, administrative documents, correspondence, project files, and memos. The records pertain to the oversight of The New School's libraries, which have undergone various name changes over time. Separate record groups document individual New School libraries: the Raymond E. Fogelman Library records (NS.08.01.01) and the Adam and Sophie Gimbel Design Library records (PC.08.01.01).

These records represent public relations and course promotions activities of various divisions of the New School from the late 1960s and 1970s. Materials include press releases, internal and external reports, correspondence and memoranda, print publicity for courses, and organizational material regarding special programs and events.
