Mr. Weil apparently used film packs for his 4x5 shots and made his selection for printing after developing them. He also apparently used a 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 cameras at the same time, so that he has negatives of the same scene in a couple of formats and several different exposures. Mr. Weil also made several duplicate prints; some of which may have been made for commercial purposes; some for technical reasons, as he notes in various places different exposure times and paper types.

William Wheeler (1780-1833) seems to have been one of the first of the Wheeler family in Albany County, New York. Born in Oyster Bay, New York, he became a wheelwright and farmer in Westerlo. This collection contains genealogies, correspondence, and other family-related materials.

The biography vertical files contain varied information on individuals or families in and around Albany, New York. Folders may include such material as clippings, photocopies, pamphlets, etc., and are arranged by the surname of the individual or family.

William Horace Noyes (1863-1928) was an avocational photographer whose profession was vocational education. The William H. Noyes Collection consists of photographic images of Albany and nearby locales.

Tracey Irving Brooks was a professional quality photographer based in the Capitol Region of New York State's Hudson River Valley. Born in 1888 Mr. Brooks photographed Hudson River steamboats during the first half of the 1900s. The collection covers an extensive variety of steamboats on the upper portion of the Hudson River. The collection includes photographs, postcard images and glass plate negatives of steamers, tugboats and ferries from Tracey I. Brooks' collection.
