A collection of ancient Greek and Roman coins formed by Columbia professor George N. Olcott (A.B. 1893; Ph.D. 1899). The coins are arranged in chronological order in two cabinets. A hand-written card catalog indexes and describes each coin. In 1958 the Library acquired a collection of squeezes of almost all the coins used in the ancient Greek city of Syracuse on the island of Sicily

Artificial collection used for miscellaneous printed ephemera and manuscript materials, not fitting into an existing ephemera collection and considered not worth cataloging as a book, no additions since mid 1990s. Arranged alphabetically by main entry.

The Ellsworth papers are an important complement to the AIUSA archives at Columbia, and will be especially valuable for the study of the early years and genesis of AIUSA's organizational and operational structures. This accession fills our collecting objective of acquiring personal papers of human rights advocates that align closely with the organizational archives in the CHRDR collections.
