The UB Archives houses the historically valuable records of the State University of New York at Buffalo and its predecessor, the University of Buffalo (1846-1962). The Archives collects, organizes and maintains the records of UB academic departments and administrative offices, along with all university and student publications. The Archives also collects the private papers of administrators, faculty members and other individuals associated with UB.

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs Budget files, 1966-1973, includes materials related to the creation of the annual university budget including: correspondence, memos, budget justifications, preliminary budgets, budgetary reviews, enrollment and admissions data, enrollment projections, program and department reviews, and budget summaries.
Over 130 digitized 16mm films. Among the footage are the annual Moving Up Day parades, commencements, football games, marching band formations, student unrest, and campus construction. Some gems were uncovered, including rare footage of the interior of the Darwin Martin house, mid-century downtown Buffalo, Lionel Hampton, and a Buffalo Sabres vs. Buffalo Norsemen hockey game.
Contains planning documents, reviews, and presentations. Mission Review II was a university-wide self-study designed to provide the UB and SUNY leadership with the forum to contemplate and discuss UB's institutional aspirations, leading up to a five year memorandum of understanding lasting 2005-2010.
