Grenell Family Papers, May 20, 1858-1882 0.15 Cubic Feet
This collection consists of two ledger books recording transactions at a grocery business presumably employing a member of the Grenell family in Rochester in 1858-1860. The two ledgers provide a detailed register of sales starting on May 20, 1858 and ending July 25, 1860. The scale of the transactions suggests the business engaged in both wholesale and retail trade. The collection also includes an account book and a letter, which confirm the creators of this collection as Francis Springsteen, Cornelia Ireland Grenelle and Eliza Grenelle.
Rochester Centennial Committees on Arrangements Collection, March 29, 1933-April 8, 1935 .34 Cubic Feet
This collection consists of four volumes. Three are identified as "The Committees on Arrangements: Their Meetings, Figures and Reports." These volumes contain committee membership lists, meeting minutes, typescripts of editorial submissions and publicity, budgets, and other documentation of the Rochester Centennial Arrangements Committee. The final volume is a photographic album containing images of the Rochester Centennial celebrations. The volumes date between June 25, 1933 and November 1, 1934.

This collection documents photographically public health concerns in Rochester, New York from the late 1890s to the early 1920s. The materials consist of photographs, film negatives, glass plate negatives, and one scrapbook. Photos of the milk station, Hope Hospital, and the municipal hospital are included. Possibly taken by George Goler to document sanitary conditions.
Wilma K. Smith was a Pennsylvania native whose family migrated to Penn Yan during her childhood and who attended the Rochester Business Institute (RBI) in the early 1920s. This collection consists of a single scrapbook that Smith maintained during her time at RBI, through her post-graduation life up to her wedding day. The scrapbook includes autographs from her classmates at RBI, programs and memorabilia from events she attended, newspaper clippings, calling cards, greeting cards, and business cards.
Dr. Alice Holloway Young was a pioneering African-American educator and administrator with the Rochester City School District and a founding trustee of Monroe Community College. This collection consists of 5 .WAV audio files containing interviews with Dr. Alice Holloway Young conducted by Christine Christopher in July and August of 2018. The interviews provide wide-ranging autobiographical information about Dr. Young.
