Joy, Eleanor, 1868-1936

Eleven diaries which reveal a sensitive and perceptive young woman. With her family, she traveled extensively in England, the United States, and most countries of the Continent. Her diaries describe her reactions to foreign scenes and places, and contain numerous references to her father and to her visit to Columbia University early in 1889. Also, a typewritten description of the diaries of Eleanor Joy's son, Sir Douglas Busk; and a copy of THE ANCESTORS OF PATRICK AND PERONELLE KINNEL, compiled by Sir Douglas Busk in 1970.

The letters and manuscripts of Keyser, including the notes and manuscripts for his lectures, essays, and books, as well as his correspondence with colleagues and mathematicians throughout the world. There are letters from Benjamin N. Cardozo, Alfred Korzybski, Anna Hempstead Branch, James Truslow Adams, and Clarence Day, Jr.

This collection consists of Prescott Lecky's journals, articles, reprints and other material. These we collected as possible additions to aid in the completion of Lecky's unfinished manuscript. The final work, Self-Consistency: A Theory of Personality, was published in 1951.

Letters written to MacAlarney from well-known literary figures such as Franklin P. Adams, Irving Bacheller, Henry Arthur Jones, Joseph Hergesheimer, Rose O'Neill, and Gilbert Parker. Many of the letters concern the use of writers' stories or books for motion picture production. Other letters concern publication in the LADIES HOME JOURNAL.
