Howard W. Yoder was a Methodist missionary in Peru, Bolivia, and Panama, and Executive Secretary of the Committee on Cooperation in Latin America of the Division of Foreign Missions of the National Council of Churches of Christ in the USA from 1954 – 1963. The collection contains a 1954 report by Yoder on the state of Protestant missions in Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico.

The Gale A. Yee papers contain draft manuscripts of her book Poor Banished Children of Eve : Women as Evil in the Hebrew Bible and comments from readers, drafts of other professional writings (published and unpublished), her lecture notes for Old Testament classes, her student papers and exams from Loyola University and the University of St. Michael's College (in Toronto), drafts of her doctoral thesis, large numbers of articles and papers relating to travel to Rome and Jerusalem. The bulk of the material in this collection spans Yee's university education in the early 1970s and her writings from the 1960s to 2014.

Matthew Tyson Yates, a Southern Baptist preacher and distributor of Chinese language Christian literature in Shanghai and other regions, wrote this essay on Chinese ancestral worship.

Herman E. Wornom (1902-1992) was a UTS and Columbia University Alumnus (1923-4 and again 1935), religious educator and professor, author, and General Secretary of the Religious Education Association from 1952-1970. The collection contains material related to Wornom's studies including transcripts, syllabi, reading lists, class notes, assignments, and term papers, as well as handwritten notes taken by Wornom at meetings of the Toward a Better World Society.

The Woman's Board of Missions was a Congregationalist organization from Boston associated with American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions (ABCFM), focusing on the benefit of women and children throughout the world, disseminating missionary intelligence, and supporting single women missionaries. The collection contains correspondence from members of the New Haven Branch of the Woman's Board of Missions; detailed minutes from the New Haven Branch and the New York State Branch of the Woman's Board of Missions Executive, Public, and Annual meetings; programs from the Norwich and New London Society and the Brookfield Association of the Auxiliary Foreign Missionary Society; as well as records of the branch officers' conference papers, programs and reports from individual branch meetings, and historical sketches of some branches.

John Deming Wolf was a UTS graduate (1942) and Methodist chaplain. The collection contains material compiled by Wolf related to UTS students who conscientiously objected to registration for conscription during WWII, including newsclippings and photographs, pamphlets, and other related documents, including "Information in Regard to Registration at the Seminary under the Selective Training and Service Act," court proceedings, and a signed statement by the students.

Morton Fitch Trippe (a graduate of Auburn Theological Seminary) and his wife Sarah Louise were well-known missionaries with the Home Mission in the Allegany, Cattaraugus, Tonawanda and Tuscorora Indian reservations. The collection contains sermons given by M.F. Trippe; notes for sermons, annotated with the places and dates that the sermons were given; addresses on temperance or religious themes; documents of interest on matters concerning the Reservation and the land disputes of the 1880s – 1890s, as well as miscellanea such as portrait photographs and financial notebooks, quarterly reports to the Board of Home Missions, and correspondence; as well as various documents on the history of the reservations and Native American conditions collected by Sarah Louise Trippe, and a Daughters of the American Revolution Certificate in the name of the Trippes' daughter, Myra.

Arnold J. Toynbee (1889-1975) was a British philosopher and historian. The collection contains a manuscript of Toynbee's lecture titled, "Christianity and the Non-Christian Faith in the Contemporary World."

Emilie M. Townes is a womanist ethicist and an author and speaker on African American women and the church, specializing in themes such as the oppressive forces of race, sex, and sexuality in the church and society. She has held appointments at the Vanderbilt University Divinity School, the Yale Divinity School, and Union Theological Seminary. The collection contains addresses and sermons, publications, correspondence, coursework and teaching material, memorabilia, and other related materials that reflect her life, work, and thought as a womanist theologian.

Jane Toomer is thought to have been a missionary. The collection contains a nineteenth century commonplace book attributed to Jane Toomer, which includes copies of letters, excerpts from sermons and other theological writings, and some writing in Chinese.
