The collection consists of manuscripts, memoirs and a printed item. Manuscripts consist of poems by Maĭborodov, including a typescript of a poema entitled "Bogdan Khmelńit︠s︡kiĭ." The memoirs primarily concern the years 1900-1938 and include Maĭborodov's reminiscences as a student at St. Petersburg University (1900-1904) and his reminiscences of his service as a zemstvo chief in the Volyni︠a︡n, Podoli︠a︡n, Bessarabian and Kherson provinces from 1904-1916. The printed item is an off-print (61 p.) of a memoir entitled "S frant︠s︡uzami," which was published in "Arkhiv Russkoĭ Revoli︠u︡tsii." In the collection it is part of the memoir "Vo vremi︠a︡ smuty (pri vremennom pravitelśtve) [1917-1920]."

Correspondence and memoirs of Vereshchagin. Correspondence includes letters from a number of major emigre cultural figures, such as Ivan Bunin, Matild́a Ksheshinskai︠a︡, Vasiliĭ Nemirovich-Danchenko; there are also poems by Nemirovich-Danchenko and by Nadezhda Teffi. In addition, there are letters by members of the Imperial family in exile, particularly Grand Prince Vladimir Kirillovich. Vereshchagin's memoirs touch on such subjects as his childhood and family, the Imperial Corps of Pages, cultural life in St. Petersburg and Petrograd, and the early 1920's in Petrograd and Moscow. In addition, there is a pamphlet of poems by Vereshchagin"Stikhi" (1955).

The collection includes Romanovich's memoirs (15 p.) concerning the period 1914-1920, mostly focusing on her activities in the Don region during the Civil War. There are also two typescript poems by Romanovich.

Included among the list of 37 cataloged correspondents are: Vera Brittain, Edward Gordon Craig, Clarence Darrow, Havelock Ellis, Augustus John, Emmeline Pankhurst, Edward Steichen, Gertrude Stein, Algernon Charles Swinburne, Sybil Thorndike, Alec Waugh, and H. G. Wells. The cataloged manuscripts include a poem by Witter Bynner entitled "Hay Wagon." There is a large selection of Stephen's writings (poetry, novels, plays, articles, biographies, memoirs) including drafts of a proposed biography of his father, a bound volume of his own memoirs, numerous notebooks, and "Mount Joy," a description of life on Dominica. His photographs and paintings are well represented, with 6 albums of photographs and 2 boxes & 1 folder of approximately 200 paintings and sketches. The printed material includes works by Stephen, his father and his mother.

Most of the collection concerns the Russian emigration in interwar Europe; a sizeable part deals with the Kadet (Constitutional Democrat) Party in the Russian Civil War. There is correspondence, manuscripts, subject files, photographs, and printed materials. There are many letters by liberal figures, such as Astrov, Viktor Chelishchev, Petr I︠U︡renev, Aleksandr Kizevetter, Pavel Mili︠u︡kov, Vladimir D. Nabokov, Vladimir Obolenskiĭ, Panina, and Ivan Petrunkevich. There are also letters from Ivan Bilibin, Alice Masaryk, and Thomas Masaryk. Manuscripts are chiefly by Astrov, and include memoirs, poems, and lectures. There are also memoirs by Panina, and eulogies by various people on Astrov. Subject files from 1917-1920 have materials on Panina's arrest and trial by the Bolsheviks, Kadet conferences, protocols of meetings of the Kadet Party central committee, and other items. Files on the emigration deal with the Russkiĭ Ochag (Russian Hearth) and other bodies, especially in Czechoslovakia. There are photographs of Astrov, Kizevetter, Nikodim Kondakov, Alice Masaryk, Panina, and others. Printed materials include books, clippings, and offprints by Astrov and others.

The Shih-hui Hsiung (Shihui Xiong) papers consist of materials documenting Hsiung's life and political career from 1907 to 1974. The highlights of the papers are the manuscripts, which include six volumes of Hsiung's memoir, seven volumes of diaries over 43 years, and approximately 440 original handwritten speech scripts. The photographs and political and military affairs related documents focus on Hsiung's active involvement in the northeast region and abroad from 1930 to 1948. The papers overall consist of correspondence, calligraphy scrolls, diaries, a diploma, documents, letter books, manuscripts of published and unpublished works, maps, newspaper clippings, notes, oversize military notices, poems, photographs, photograph albums, reports, and other materials.

There are letters from Rodion Berezov, Aleksandra Tolstai︠a︡, I︠A︡kov T︠S︡vibak, and Mark Weĭnbaum as well as one letter each from Georgiĭ Grebenshchikov, Dmitriĭ Shakhovskoĭ, and Igor ́Sikorskiĭ. There is a poem and letter drafts by Matviĭchuk, dating from 1945-1973. The arranged manuscripts include a brief memoir by Matviĭchuk entitled "Ushedshee." The essay discusses his family, the Civil War, and life in the Soviet Union during the 1920s. Matviĭchuk left the Soviet Union during World War II, and eventually emigrated to the United States. There is a box of clippings and several boxes of emigre newspapers and journals, many of which contain essays by Matviĭchuk.

Manuscripts by Voronkov. One manuscript is a short (6 p.), handwritten, autobiographical essay, in which Voronkov mentions his military education, his service in the Russian Imperial Army, his management of a military factory in WWI, and his emigration after the Civil War. The other manuscript"Svi︠a︡tai︠a︡ Ruś" consists of 80 poems written by Voronkov primarily about Imperial Russia, Russian Orthodoxy and the Romanov family. The collection also includes a copy of a Russian emigre newspaper published in Argentina ("Nasha Strana" 15 Feb. 1966) that contains an article about Voronkov's poems.

Collection consists of manuscripts, documents and printed materials. Manuscripts include two memoirs by Dubakina, one on her experiences in the Crimea, the other on a visit of Nicholas II there; and a personal memoir by Evgenii︠a︡ Tuli︠a︡kova-Danilovskai︠a︡, entitled "Pervyĭ god v Germanii." There is also a copy of a poem attributed to Vladimir Purishdevich. There are personal documents of Dubakina from 1918-1920. Printed materials consist of newspaper clippings concering A. I. Tuli︠a︡kova.
