Bentkovskīĭ, Alʹfred Karlovich, 1860-1930

Papers of Alf́red K. Bentkovskiĭ that consist of correspondence, manuscripts, and printed materials. These items chiefly concern the monarchist group associated with the Grand Duke Kirill Vladimirovich in France in the 1920s. Bentkovskiĭ was chairman of the commission of foreign affairs of Grand Duke Kirill's "state council" (gosudarevo soveshchanie) in France in 1930. Files of printed materials concern the Mladorossy and the Russo-Japanese War.

Benzeman, Gleb Alekseevich, 1898-1982

The papers largely concern Russian military history and the emigre monarchist movement. There are two letters and typescripts on such themes as military education before World War I, the Benzeman family, and the kidnapping of General A. P. Kutepov in 1930. Also included are a pamphlet entitled "Imperator Nikolai II" (no author, published in Germany in 1948), and a binder entitled "Iz krasivogo proshlogo imperatorskoi Rossii" consisting of clippings of articles written by Benzeman.

Collection of letters to Nikolaĭ A. Berdi︠a︡ev. The correspondents include a number of important emigre figures in the fields of literature, philosophy, and theology. The collection is useful for the study of emigre contributions in these areas, and also the emigration in France, Germany, and Czechoslovakia, particularly in the 1920s and 1930s.

Berg, Boris Georgievich, 1884-1953

Manuscripts and photographs of Boris Georgievich Berg. There is an unpublished biography by B. G. Berg of Fedor Fedorovich Berg, "Feld́marshal Graf F. F. Berg i ego sovreminniki." The memoirs of B. G. Berg cover his youth, theatre career, World War I and its aftermath, and the emigration in France and the United States. There are also photographs of members of the Berg family.

Berkhman, Georgiĭ Ėduardovich, 1854-1929

Papers of General Georgiĭ E. Berkhman that consist of correspondence, subject files, maps and printed materials. Most of the collection concerns the Sarykamysh campaign against Turkey in late 1914, including telegrams, orders, reports, maps and books. There is also Berkhman's official service record, a brief memoir by his wife Elena Vasilévna, clippings, and copies of Tbilisi newspapers from January 1919.

Correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, subject files, and printed materials. Cataloged correspondence consists of letters by Petr Struve. There are Bernatskii's memoirs of 1917, and copies of several publications by him. Subject files concern: the finances of the Provisional Government and of the Whites in the South and in Siberia and the Far East; and the settlement of White Army veterans in European countries in the 1920s.
