A collection of 4 x 5 inch color transparencies of work probably created 1970 through 1975 by Parsons School of Design students in the Communication Design, Environmental Design, Fashion Design, Fashion Illustration, General Illustration, and Graphic Design departments, including work that was exhibited in end of year shows and annual Society of Illustrators Scholarship Competitions.

Consists of approximately 15,058 slides, primarily 1970s-1990s, documenting Parsons School of Design students and campus life. Many of the slides are images of student work. Other images include exhibitions, award and fashion shows, social events, guest lectures, field trips, and campus construction projects. Approximately one third of the slides represent Fashion Design Department-related activities.

This record group documents the activities of the New School's Communications and External Affairs (CEA) office, one of the university's largest administrative units. CEA was the successor administrative unit to the New School Publicity Office, and the New School Communications Office, respectively. The bulk of materials here date from the late 1990s through 2013, and includes digital photographs, printed publicity samples, posters, and project files consisting of analog and digital records from the Design and Publications Office of CEA. Edward Wormley (1907-1995) is often cited as a top designer of American modernist furniture. Starting at the Dunbar Furniture Company at age 23, Wormley eventually became its sole designer and retained a partnership with Dunbar for over thirty years. Wormley taught at Parsons School of Design between 1952 and 1970. The collection includes photographs, slides, subject files, clippings, technical drawings, catalogs, and sketches.

The School of Drama, the dramatic arts program of The New School's College of Performing Arts, grew out of an affiliation with the Actors Studio initiated in the 1990s. This record group primarily documents student performances in the form of publicity materials, such as posters, postcards, fliers, and other print formats advertising individual productions and seasons. The record group also contains numerous clippings and printouts of online reviews. Video documentation of performances spans 1997 through 2002, while print records cover academic years up through 2018.

Collection consists of photographic slides depicting fashion runway shows compiled by freelance photographer Charles Gerli. Photographs were taken by Gerli, Dan Lecca and Corina Lecca for various magazines. Designers and fashion houses represented include Bill Blass, Chanel, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Lacroix, Lanvin, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Valentino, Adrienne Vittadini and many others.

Saks Fifth Avenue compiled this collection of more than 1,100 slides depicting fashion runway shows in the 1990s. The 35 mm slides depict haute couture and ready-to-wear collections from an array of fashion labels, including Adrienne Vittadini, Bill Blass, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Issey Miyake, Max Mara, Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, Rifat Ozbek, Versace, Vivienne Westwood, Yves Saint-Laurent, and many others. Former Parsons School of Design students include but are not limited to Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Badgley Mischka, Isaac Mizrahi, Charlotte Neuville, Anna Sui, and Yeohlee Teng. Dan and Corina Lecca, Chris Moore, and Dino Scrimali are some of the photographers whose work is represented in the collection.

This collection consists predominantly of 35 mm slides of work by students in courses that comprised Parsons School of Design's first year program, formerly known as the Foundation Year Program, between 1975 and 2004. Some of the slides are associated with the course in which the work was created: 3D and 2D Design, Drawing Fundamentals, Drawing Concepts, and Digital Design. Also includes some course materials and color photocopies of student work.

The collection consists of student work and records created or received by Joseph Marcella while studying in the Design Correlations Department (now Product Design) of Parsons School of Design from 1968 to 1970. In addition to project files for portable structures, underwater and outer space habitations, and a one-piece plastic chair, the collection includes materials documenting the first Earth Day observances at Parsons.

A leading figure in the development of American ready-to-wear clothing, John Weitz (1923-2002) created one of the first American signature menswear lines. Weitz was a visiting lecturer at Parsons School of Design from 1975 to 1995. The collection includes design drawings, exhibition files, scrapbooks, clippings, photographs, and audiovisual recordings of promotional campaigns, fashion shows and television commercials.
