The manuscripts include essays by Serapinin about the 1917 Revolution, the Orthodox Church, the emigre press, the Zhdanov Cossack Choir, and "Doctor Zhivago." There is also a book-length manuscript entitled "Vozdushnai︠a︡ gvardii︠a︡" which describes early Russian aviation with particular reference to Igor ́Sikorskiĭ. The printed material consists of a copy of "Pervye Shagi," a children's magazine.
Aleksei Ivanovich Skrylov Papers, 1916-1973
10 itemsThe papers contain correspondence that dates from the 1950s to the 1970s, and concern emigre Cossack affairs as well as the career of Skrylov's son, Valerian. There are essays on the Kuban Cossacks, political events in 1964 and on the Cossack dictionary Skrylov was compiling. There is a photocopy of a 1948 cerificate Skrylov received from the "Soi︠u︡z pervago kubanskago pokhoda" in Munich. The cataloged photograph is of General Lavr Kornilov in 1916, shortly before his escape from a military hospital in Köszêg, Hungary, and there are photographs of both Skrylov and his son.

Nearly all the manuscripts are by Savit︠s︡kiĭ himself, and include essays on such topics as Suvorov and Napoleon Bonaparte, Pushkin, early foreign travelers in Russia, eternal youth, Russian art and engineering. There are subject files relating to Savit︠s︡kiĭ's father, Kazimir Antonovich Savit︠s︡kiĭ, who was chairman of the Severskiĭ Donet︠s︡ Railroad from about 1907 to 1920, and to the Obshchestvo li︠u︡biteleĭ russkoĭ voennoĭ stariny (Society of Russian Military History Enthusiasts), a Paris based emigre organization. The printed materials include clippings and several issues of "Russkiĭ Voenno-Istoricheskiĭ Vestnik" of which Savit︠s︡kiĭ was co-editor.

The manuscripts include essays and lectures on various topics including the Orthodox church, Russian literature and culture, philosophy, and the hereafter. There are numerous diaries, primarily from the 1930's and 1940's. The printed materials include clippings, off-prints, and various journals and books.
Dmitrii Nikolaevich Tikhobrazov Papers, 1859-1974
1000 itemsCorrespondence, manuscripts, documents and printed materials of Tikhobrazov. The correspondence dates from 1963-1974 and includes letters from Vera Mikhailovna Borel', daughter of General Mikhail Vasil'evich Alekseev. There is one manuscript by Anna Nikolaevna Alekseeva, the General's widow, while the rest are by Tikhobrazov. These include two lengthy versions of his autobiography and a number of shorter essays. The topics Tikhobrazov treats include his own military education, the history of the Imperial family, Rasputin, the 1917 Revolution and the Civil War. With regard to the Civil War, Tikhobrazov describes his experiences under General Briggs. The documents include Civil War military orders, an 1859 diploma awarded to B. I. Ianushevich and Arkadii Pavlovich Levitskii's service record, dated 1915. The printed materials include clippings, illustrations and two copies of "Miroir de l'Histoire" (1964 and 1967) in which articles by Tikhobrazov appeared. There is a photograph album entitled "Russkaia armiia na Balkanakh" with many photos of White units in exile in the 1920's.

64000 itemsThe Packer collection contains 64,000 items from the files of this American diplomat. It is complete in its representation of every aspect of his life. The papers include personal and professional correspondence, manuscripts, documents, printed materials, and Russian cartoons and illustrations, as well as original World War I posters. It also contains an array of photographs taken by Mr. Packer between 1917 and 1923, which depict scenes from the Russian Revolution and from Russian city life.
Ekaterina Nikolaevna Roshchina-Insarova Papers, 1907-1950
500 itemsThe collection includes correspondence from Konstantin Balḿont, Nikolaĭ Evreĭnov, Zinaida Gippius, Georgiĭ Grebenshchikov, Vasiliĭ Maklakov, Sergeĭ Potresov and Nadezhda Teffi. There is one letter each from Boris Bakhmeteff, Vera Bunina, Aleksandr Grechaninov, Aleksandr Kuprin and Alekseĭ Tolstoĭ. The manuscripts include poems and a play scenario by Nadezhda Teffi as well as Roshchina-Insarova's autobiographical essays and article about Sergeĭ Lifar.́ In addition, there are three scrapbooks containing clippings and programs of Roshchina-Insarova's performances, and approximately 40 photographs of her.
