The correspondence includes letters from Mark Aldanov, Mikhail Karpovich, Ekaterina Kuskova, Vasiliĭ Maklakov, Mikhail Taube, and Mark Weĭnbaum. Most of the manuscripts are by Velḿin himself and concern the Russian emigration in Poland, the 1917 Revolution and Civil War, and German concentration camps during World War II. The collection likewise contains Velḿin's diary (handwritten in eleven volumes) covering the 1900-1960 period. There are subject files devoted to Vasiliĭ Maklakov and to the activities of the Russian scouts, and there are numerous publications, such as journals, pamphlets, clippings and books.

Nearly all the manuscripts are by Savit︠s︡kiĭ himself, and include essays on such topics as Suvorov and Napoleon Bonaparte, Pushkin, early foreign travelers in Russia, eternal youth, Russian art and engineering. There are subject files relating to Savit︠s︡kiĭ's father, Kazimir Antonovich Savit︠s︡kiĭ, who was chairman of the Severskiĭ Donet︠s︡ Railroad from about 1907 to 1920, and to the Obshchestvo li︠u︡biteleĭ russkoĭ voennoĭ stariny (Society of Russian Military History Enthusiasts), a Paris based emigre organization. The printed materials include clippings and several issues of "Russkiĭ Voenno-Istoricheskiĭ Vestnik" of which Savit︠s︡kiĭ was co-editor.

Correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, subject files, and printed materials of Evgenii Aleksandrovich Vechorin, chiefly concerning alumni of the St. Petersburg Polytechnical Institute. The catalogued correspondence includes letters from Nikolai Andreev, Petr Savitskii, Igor ́Sikorskii, Gleb Struve, and Alfred Swann, and other prominent figures. Much of the arranged correspondence is from fellow graduates of the Institute, and concerns alumni affairs. Most of the manuscripts are likewise by fellow graduates; many are memoirs, such as those by Vechorin himself, while others concern technical subjects. Among the subject files are biographical sketches of Institute graduates and files on such individuals as Petr Savitskii, Igor ́Sikorskii, and Alfred Swann. There are several photographs taken at the Institute ca. 1900 as well as photographs of Vechorin and his colleagues after emigration. The printed materials include clippings and excerpts, miscellaneous journals, and books by Vechorin and S. P. Timoshenko.

Papers consist of manuscripts and printed materials. Manuscripts include a typescript memoir by Gagarin about Simferopol in 1917-18, two brief essays by Gagarin on the rivers Neva and Volga, and a typed copy of a letter from a soldier in World War I to a nurse. Printed materials include scattered issues of and clippings from "Russkoe Slovo" one issue of "Sei︠a︡teĺ" two issues of "Chasovoĭ" three issues of "Russkiĭ Invalid" and twenty-one issues of "Osvedomitel ́Leĭb-Egereĭ" and a copy of "Epizody proshlogo. Rasskazy iz zhizni avtora i izbrannye stikhotvorenii︠a︡" (Buenos Aires, 1972), a collection of poems and brief memoiristic essays, manuscripts of some which are among Gagarin's papers.

Correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, subject files, printed materials, and memorabilia of historian George Vernadsky (Georgii Vladimirovich Vernadskii; 1887-1973). Most of the collection consists of his personal and professional papers, circa 1918-1973. Sizable groups of materials also concern members of his family, especially his wife Nina (1884-1971); his father, scientist Vladimir I. Vernadskii (1863-1945); his mother Nataliia E. Vernadskaia (1860-1943); and his sister Nina V. Toll' (1898-circa 1976).

The manuscripts--all of which are by Tomilin--include essays, stories and autobiographical writings chiefly devoted to his career as a teacher in Russian and Soviet institutions as well as in DP camps following his emigration to Germany in 1945. The collection also includes his birth certificate and such printed materials as poems by Tomilin, an essay by his wife and a copy of "Luch" (Salzburg, 1954).

Manuscripts include a Duma speech by Vinaver on the Białystok pogrom of 1906 and two items on Russian politics by him. There is also an essay by Petr I︠U︡renev on the Vinaver-Petrunkevich correspondence. Printed materials include bound copies of "Zveno" for 1926-1928, and six books by or about Vinaver.

Konovalov, and Geroid T. Robinson. There are photographs of two actors from the Moscow Art Theater: Vasiliĭ Luzhskiĭ and Ivan Moskvin. The correspondence dates from 1879 to 1950 and includes some miscellaneous items apparently unrelated to Zolotarev. There are manuscripts by various authors on religious and political themes. The subject files include materials relating to several Russian emigre organizations, the White Navy, and Columbia University. Among the printed materials are booklets, journals, clippings and posters.

Markov's papers consist of correspondence, a brief biography (apparently by his nephew), and printed materials. Correspondence in this collection consists of letters to a nephew named Seva. Printed materials include issues of "Mirovai︠a︡ Sluzhba" (1936-38), and two books by Markov: "Voĭny temnykh sil" (Paris, 1928), and "Otrechennye dni fevralśkoĭ revoli︠u︡t︠s︡ii 1917 goda" (Harbin, 1938).
