A listing of graduates of the classes of 1851-1863; for some graduates lists where and when born, where prepared for college, when entered and graduated, and professional training and position since graduation. Apparently filled out in the middle 1860s.
Two notebooks and several subject folders. The notebooks contain mimeographed minutes (1955-1965) and financial records (1962-1965) of the College Cabinet Financial Board. The folders contain material on the Graduate Living Center (mimeographed committee minutes, 1961-1964), the Towers Dormitories (1962-1964), student activities (1958-1964), and rules and regulations for campus parties (1940's and 1950's).
Mostly printed material related to foreign student advisement. The correspondence is to and from Muriel Rising, Foreign Student Advisor.

The diary, written by Backus in 1861, describes his life as a student at the University of Rochester. The diary covers the second semester of his freshman year and the first semester of his sophomore year.

Included are test scores of V-12 and civilian students (1943-1944); information on the accelerated program; correspondence (1942-1943) to and from, Dr. D. Lincoln Canfield, Class Officer (Class of 1946); and general information regarding reserve programs, enlistments, etc.
