Alexander McMillan Welch (1869-1943) was a New York City based architect who practiced independently and as a member of Welch, Smith & Provot. His firm was best known for designing New York City townhouses in the Beaux-Arts style. The collection includes 1,641 architectural drawings, 196 student drawings, 14 student notebooks, 99 loose photographs and 3 photo albums of project photography, project specifications and files, and some professional ephemera.

Drawings show plans, elevations, and sections for the Southwest Apartment on the 11th and 12th story of 1 Lexington Avenue.

The collection consists of research papers complied by Annice Alt in preparation for the book Boak & Paris / Boak & Raad: New York Architects (2014), and includes newspaper clippings, notes, contemporary photographs of buildings, real estate advertisements, and building information reports created by Alt. The collection also inclues 10 original ink on linen drawings for the Boak & Raad limited profit housing project, Leland House (Bronx, NY); one perspective rendering by Rowe Langston for the David Rose 1945 commissioned apartment, The Thornley, at 215 E. 79th Street (New York, NY); and reproduction of two drawings for the Boak & Paris apartment house 331-345 West 57th Street (New York, NY).

The collection is made up of three separate Boak & Raad projects commissioned by Rose Associates, Inc., which are as followed: 17 pencil and ink on drafting cloth drawings for Apartment Building, S.E. corner of 22nd street and Lexington Avenue, New York, NY (May 20, 1949) ; 8 pencil on drafting cloth drawings for Apartment Building, west side of Broadway, between E. 9th and E. 10th Street, New York, NY (Feb.-June 1955) ; 9 pencil on drawing cloth drawings for 209 to 223 East 53rd Street, New York, NY (1958).

Charles Adam Platt (1861-1933) was an American architect and landscape designer. Although best remembered today for his landscape and country house designs, he was also nationally known for his etchings, landscape paintings, commercial architecture, and institutional projects. He was largely self-taught in each of these disciplines, building his success on his ability to reconceive the classical tradition in architecture for the needs and desires of his wealthy, powerful clients. This collection contains materials related to Platt's personal and professional lives, the bulk originating from Platt's office in the form of project drawings, photographs, and records documenting architectural projects from 1901-1933.

This collection includes administrative, legal, and financial records, correspondence, specifications, black and white photographs, and reprographic architectural and engineering drawings related to the operations of the City Construction Company in New York City between circa 1945 and 1955. Projects include primarily apartment buildings, theatres, and commercial buildings in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Because the company was working for architects, and often working on extant buildings, drawings from numerous architects are also included in this collection. Major projects include the 15 E. 91st St. Apartments; 25 Broad St. Building; 30 Broad St. Building; 1211 Madison Ave. Apartments; 1211 Madison Ave. Apartments; and the Parke-Bernet Gallery, all in Manhattan.

Arranged by location and address, the collection consists of appraisal reports, pamphlets, broadsides, financial communication, plans, diagrams and occasionally photographs for prospective or acquired Durst Organization propertiies. Two linear feet of files are for properties outside of New York City.

Architectural drawings and photographs of Litchfield's designs for Yorkship village (housing for ship workers during World War I near Camden, N.J.); Public Library, St. Paul, Minn.; memorial to Theodore Roosevelt at Oyster Bay, Long Island, N.Y.; 800 Park Avenue and other New York City apartment houses; Albany Post Office, Albany, N.Y. (designed by Gander, Gander & Gander, with Litchfield as consulting architect); and other projects.

This collection included primarily original and reprographic architectural drawings by Roth, circa 1907-circa 1949, largely of apartment buildings located in Manhattan and designed during the 1920s and 1930s. Represented are the San Remo Towers, The Beresford, The Oliver Cromwell, the Normandy, and numerous other apartment buildings. There are also drawings for several hotel and private residences. A two-volume typescript autobiography is also included.

The collection primarily contains architectural drawings, including renderings and working drawings, for projects designed by Ginsbern. Most projects are located in Manhattan and the Bronx and cover various building types, including apartment buildings, stores, office, and industrial buildings. Some projects are not identified.
