Records kept by New School faculty member Ann Snitow, largely documenting her activities in connection with the evolving status of gender studies courses and programs at The New School at the graduate and undergraduate level.

Contains records produced during Richard Yelle's term as department chair of Product Design (as well as its predecessors: Clay, Fiber, Metal Design; Clay, Metal, Textile Design; and Clay, Metal, Textile, and Product Design). Includes administrative records, information on competitions and exhibits, student work, course descriptions, and evaluations. Also includes examples of Yelle's professional work, and a poster for a Constantin Boym exhibit.

The Lesley Cadman records were created or received by Lesley Cadman during her term as vice dean of Parsons School of Design. Some records pre-date Cadman's arrival at Parsons.

Consists of records created and received by Charles S. Olton, dean of Parsons School of Design from 1989 until 1997. Includes subject files on committees, departments and programs, events, individuals, international projects, and general administrative issues. Some files are restricted. The Schools of Public Engagement was formed in 2011 with the reorganization of the New School for General Studies. As of 2016, the division consisted of: the Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students (BPATS); the School of Languages; the School of Media Studies; the Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy; and the Creative Writing Program. The collection also holds the 1991-2008 records of the World Policy Institute. Dating largely from the 1990s until 2014, these records contain correspondence, memoranda, reports, budget and financial material, and faculty and personnel files relating to the administration and governance of the Schools of Public Engagement and their predecessor programs, departments, and schools. David Corcos Levy served as dean of Parsons School of Design from 1970 until 1989. The bulk of these records were generated between 1970 and 1984, after the merger of Parsons and the New School for Social Research, and consist of memos, correspondence, reports, and subject files related to Levy's administrative tenure. Correspondents include a range of New School and Parsons administrators, including New School president John R. Everett. Categories and subjects represented herein include developing and implementing new degree programs; the process of merging academic institutions, including the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles; faculty relations and unionization; accreditation; program and department establishment and design; and fundraising activities. Also found here are materials created by the Parsons Board of Trustees and, after the merger, the New School Board of Overseers.

Collection consists of Eugene Lang College Religious Studies professor Mark Larrimore's teaching and subject files. Student work in the form of publications and posters advertising campus events are heavily represented.

The records in this collection, dating from 1985-2013, document Parsons School of Design faculty member Robert Kirkbride's involvement in faculty bodies and reviews of academic programs at The New School, primarily between 2004 and 2013, including his role as faculty advisor on the design and construction of the New School University Center at 65 Fifth Avenue. Also represented are materials documenting Kirkbride's participation in the curriculum review of various Parsons undergraduate programs and events and exhibitions in Parsons' Product Design Department.

John Everett (1918-1992) served as president of The New School from 1964-1982. This collection documents the activities of the president's office during his tenure, and includes some files from prior presidents. Also included is material from Everett's board service at other academic institutions, and manuscripts for speeches and articles he authored. Some files are restricted. This collection consists of records of the undergraduate gender studies minor program at The New School, covering roughly the time the gender studies minor was discussed in committee at the university in 2006 to the end of Miriam Ticktin's directorship in 2014, the last year comprehensively documented. The bulk of the files document the program under the direction of Ann Snitow (2009-2012).
