Collection consists of records from the Upstate New York Chapter, Special Libraries Association from 1937 to 2004. The materials reflect the organization and development of the chapter, as well as its functions and activities in the materials regarding various committees, projects, and publications.

The papers of the Rochester Preservation Board consist mainly of agendas, minutes and staff reports compiled from meetings of the board between 1972 and 2001, along with applications for designation of historic districts and landmark status. The papers provide detailed information on buildings located within Rochester's Preservation Districts, including sketches of proposed alterations to properties reviewed by the board.

Material related to the medical career and personal biography of Dr. Baxter Brown. Dr. Brown Specialized in Urology at the Buffalo General Hospital and was Chief of Surgical Services during World War II. The collection includes records of the 23rd General Hospital, U.S. Army; records of the Society of Medical Consultants to the Armed Forces, 1949-1966; press releases of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission on medical aspects of atomic weapons, 1949-1950; and personal papers including photo albums.

The J. Christopher Jaffe papers consist of personal and professional papers belonging to J. Christopher Jaffe and pertaining mainly to his work with acoustic design.

These records document the activities and membership of the Empire State Federation of Women's Clubs (ESFWC) - the umbrella organization of New York State African-American women's groups - from 1938-1991. The collection also includes records from affiliated organizations: the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs (NACWC) and the Northeast Federation of Women's Clubs (NFWC).

The Environmental Advocates of New York Records document the legislative activities of the organization from the 1980s through the late 1990s. The collection consists of correspondence, notes, meeting minutes, reports, memorandums, publications, news clippings, promotional material, as well as administrative files.

The Capital Jury Project (CJP) was started in 1991 under the direction of principal investigation, William J. Bowers. The project was funded by an NSF grant to conduct surveys of juror who participated in capital trials. There are three phases to the project.
