Established in 1970 as an environmental information center primarily for the Western New York area, the Environmental Clearing House Organization collection was housed at the Buffalo Museum of Science and the Science and Engineering Library before being transferred to the University Archives in 1984. Included are newsletters, project files, correspondence, administrative records, and an extensive number of clippings. In 1979 the ECHO files were incorporated with those of the Environment and Energy Resource Center of Western New York.
