National Women's Political Caucus papers, circa 1970-1980

Materials include 1970s newspaper clippings addressing women's rights such as abortion, co-education, employment, Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), female political candidates, gender discrimination, and maternity leave policies in addition to correspondence regarding endorsement of female political candidates speeches, press releases, political candidate screening questions and endorsements, Monroe County Republican Committee correspondence, and League of Women Votes publications.
Coalition to Prevent Lead Poisoning (CPLP) collection, 1999-2013, 2016-
19 boxesThe Coalition to Prevent Lead Poisoning collection is comprised of two main series. The first series, Organizational Files, contains correspondence, meeting minutes and other papers related to the administration of the organization and its subcommittees during the years 2000-2004. The second series, Outreach, holds content related to CPLP's work in the community, on projects, and applying for grants during the years 2000-2004. In addition to manuscripts, the Outreach series also includes a CD-ROM for which CPLP was a partner, as well as a t-shirt and posters. A 2013 accrual to the collection consists of minutes, initatives, correspondence, New York State Advisory Council on Lead Poisoning Prevention material, reports, data, articles and clippings, floppy discs, and CDs (1999-2013). The Websites series (2016-ongoing) contains archived websites created by or about the organization.
Alternatives for Battered Women collection, 1976-1990
2 scrapbooks, 15 audio tapes, 1 envelopeThe Alternatives for Battered Women Collection consists of two scrapbooks compiled by Lura Carstens and Marion Strand of material that documents the history of Alternatives for Battered Women. Many of the records are from the files of Helen French. The scrapbooks include originals and photocopies of news clippings, meeting minutes, speeches, reports, and other relevant materials.
Rochester Preservation Board papers, 1972-2001
22 boxesThe papers of the Rochester Preservation Board consist mainly of agendas, minutes and staff reports compiled from meetings of the board between 1972 and 2001, along with applications for designation of historic districts and landmark status. The papers provide detailed information on buildings located within Rochester's Preservation Districts, including sketches of proposed alterations to properties reviewed by the board.

Concern for Dying papers, 1967-1986
2.0 Cubic feetThe papers contain materials relating to the local chapter of these groups, collected and donated to the University of Rochester by Margaret (Miggie) Baum, who was chair of the local council. Materials include administrative reports, meeting minutes, copies of the newsletter and correspondence (mainly to and from Miggie Baum). The collection also contains many articles on the subject of euthanasia.

Meeting Minutes document who the members of the Club were and the books they read. The second series includes several letters written between members, a club history, a member's obituary and two manuscript fragments.
Italian American war veterans collection, 1947-2006
10 Linear FeetThe Italian American War Veterans Collection consists of three series: Testimonial Dinner Dances, 1960-1996, Conference Programs, 1947-2006, and Correspondence and Appointments, 1958-1981. The first series documents the community activities the Monroe Post engaged in. The conference programs include both state and national conferences. Included in the Correspondence and Appointments series are documents related to the founding of the Monroe Post, as well as the national organization, communication among members, and records of appointments to leadership positions within the organization.
