A letter from Shepard Pond to David M. Bullowa, dated November 12, 1940, in which Pond describes a copy of Engel and Serrure’s “Traité de Numismatique Moderne et Contemporaine” which he is gifting to Bullowa.

Biographical / Historical:

Shepard Pond (1889-1945) was an American piano manufacturer. He served as secretary of the Boston Numismatic Society and governor of the American Numismatic Association.

David M. Bullowa (1912-1953) of Philadelphia was a numismatist and coin dealer whose primary interests were in commemorative coins and paper money.
