These papers consist of correspondence, manuscripts, documents, subject files, photographs, and printed materials. Most of the collection concerns Bashmakov's ethnographical work in France in the 1920s and 1930s, including correspondence, many manuscripts, lectures, notes, and copies of his publications. Subject files concern emigre monarchism in France, and the death of Father Georgiĭ Spasskiĭ. There are copies of the Russian version of Bashmakova's memoirs, "Perezhitoe." Cataloged correspondence in the collection consists of letters from Petr Krasnov and one or two items each from Henry Field, Evgeniĭ Miller, Petr Wrangel, and Boris Zaĭt︠s︡ev. There are also photographic slides representing ethnographical types from the Caucasus.

The collection contains a manuscript (10 p.) entitled"Velikai︠a︡ kni︠a︡gini︠a︡ Anastasii︠a︡" and a memoir (54 p.) that deals with Makhonin's education at the Naval Engineering Academy in Kronstadt, Makhonin's service in the navy during World War I, his mission to England to inspect the production of war materials for Russia, his service in the Volunteer Army in the south of Russia during the Civil War, his work with the American Red Cross in Crimea, and information on General Krasnov's Cossack Army, which collaborated with the Germans during World War II.

Papers of General Alekseĭ Petrovich Arkhangelśkiĭ, consisting of correspondence, manuscripts, financial records, membership lists, photographs and miscellaneous printed materials. Most of the documents in the collection pertain to the activities of ROVS and its divisions and member organizations, especially its Fifth Section (Belgium), in the late 1920s and the 1930s and 1940s. The correspondence (1924-1954) is primarily between Arkhangelśkiĭ and other military officers, including A.I. Denikin, P.P.N. Krasnov, E.K. Miller, P.N. Wrangel, V.K. Vitkovskiĭ, I.A. Kholḿsen, P.A. Kusonskiĭ, P.K. Kondzerovskiĭ, E.S. Imnadze, etc. The manuscripts encompass official orders and pronouncements, information bulletins, speeches, announcements, manifestos, emigre military course instruction manuals and reports. Many of the latter deal with Soviet internal affairs and foreign policy. The collection also includes photographs, chiefly of White Army personnel in Yugoslavia in the early 1920s, miscellaneous printed materials, ROVS financial records for the period 1924-1926, various membership lists as well as 24 separate subject files, including materials on the founding of ROVS Fifth Section, ROVS activities in North America, Australia, and the Far East, the ROVS Court of Honor, the Russian Defense Corps (Russkiĭ Okhranyĭ Korpus) in Yugoslavia in World War II, the "Vnutrenni︠a︡i︠a︡ Linii︠a︡" and others.

Correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, subject files and printed material of Russian émigré writer, journalist, and Kadet Party leader Ariadna Vladimirovna Tyrkova-Williams. The collection also contains material by her husband, Harold Williams, and her son, Arkadiĭ Borman.

Svechin's memoirs (3 volumes, dated Nice, 1956-1958) deal with his childhood and military education as well as with his military career from 1905 to 1920. He discusses his training at the Nikolaevskoe kavaleriĭskoe uchilishche and his service in the Russo-Japanese War, World War I and the 1917 Revolution. With regard to the Civil War, Svechin recounts White Army campaigns in the Don region and his association with Generals Krasnov, Wrangel and Hetman Skoropadskiĭ. Svechin also makes brief mention of his emigration to Europe. A number of photographs appear throughout the text. The collection also includes books on military science by Svechin's brother Aleksandr Andreevich who remained in the Soviet Union and actively participated in the formation of the Soviet Army. Also included is a subject file on the fate of A.A. Svechin in the purges of the 1930's.

Most of the collection concerns the Cossacks in the emigration in the 1920s. Correspondents include Petr Krasnov, Aleksandr Lukomskiĭ, Afrikan Bogaevskiĭ, and Grand Duke Nikolaĭ Nikolaevich. There are White intelligence reports from the Civil War in the south, and manuscripts, correspondence, and mimeographed bulletins relating to the Cossacks in Europe in the 1920s. Printed materials consist of anti-Semitic Russian publications, including issues of "Nat︠s︡ii︠a︡" and "Zhidoved" from the 1930s.

Correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, documents, subject files and printed materials of Sergei Grigor'evich Svatikov (1878/1880?-1942), Russian lawyer, historian, publicist, and public figure. The correspondence includes letters from Mark Aldanov, Vladimir Burtsev, Ivan Efremov, Georgii Grebenshchikov, Grigorii Lozinskii, Sergei Mel'gunov, Nikolai Rubakin, George Vernadsky and Mark Vishniak. There is a notebook that belonged to Vera Zasulich. Among the photographs are pictures of Prince Adam Jerzy Czartoryski, Sergei Mel'gunov, and Aleksander Wielopolski. The manuscripts include several by Svatikov as well as many notes, lists and bibliographical compendia relating to his oeuvre. The subject files cover such areas as the Russian Reading Hall in Heidelberg, the Turgenev Library in Paris, and the Russkii akademicheskii soiuz (Groupe academique russe), also in Paris. The printed materials include clippings, materials from the Institute d'ʹetudes slaves, and a number of books by Svatikov.

The papers of Bazilevskii consist of two letters to Bazilevskii from former Don Cossack Ataman General P. N. Krasnov, written in 1928, and a manuscript of memoirs by Bazilevskii, entitled "Poslednie dni beloi vlasti v Semirechie" (25 p.), describing the White campaigns around Orenburg and Semirechie.
