Hunt-Berol Sheet Music Collection, 1700s-1900s 244 linear feet
Printed music from the 18th-20th centuries, primarily 19th century American. Almost half the items are popular editions of European composers' instrumental music. The collection contains a large quantity of patriotic music such as the 1798 "Adams and Liberty" and the first and third editions (both 1798) of "Hail Columbia" and a comprehensive collection of music from the Civil War. There are also early printings of "The Star Spangled Banner," first and later editions of Stephen Foster's music, and a large collection of Benjamin Carr materials. Collection of 16th-20th century rare music books was cataloged individually. Primarily collected by Arthur Billings Hunt, 1890-1971, baritone, musical director and broadcaster. Most of the items are of American origin, and reflect Hunt's wide-ranging interests in sacred and secular music.
The majority of the collection consists of diaries, correspondence, reports and pamphlets (mainly in English) covering the missionary and educational work in China of Hunter Corbett and Harold F. Smith. Also includes some photographs and a collection of printed and ms copied items in Chinese, 1885-1948.

Letters to and from the Huntington-Hooker family members and friends, chiefly personal in nature. Included are letters written by Albert Huntington and Horace Hooker during the Civil War, and their Civil War papers and documents; letters from Harriet Beecher Stowe and information on the Stowe Memorial Window which was installed in the church at Mandarin, Florida through the efforts of Susan Huntington Hooker; letters from Blanchette Hooker (Mrs. John D. Rockefeller III), Adelaide Hooker (Mrs, John P. Marquand), Elon Huntington Hooker and Frank Huntington. Also in the collection are diaries, survey maps, deeds, indentures, wills, mortgages, family financial papers; newspaper clippings about Rochester history and the Huntington-Hooker families, general clippings and articles from newspapers and magazines; articles and speeches by family members, cards, invitations; University of Rochester, Vassar and Cornell programs and bulletins; family scrapbooks, and miscellaneous memorabilia.

15 photographs from Frank Hurlburt and family. Hurlburt was a captain in the New York Central Railroad police ca. 1920s-1930s; most photographs depict the railroad in some manner. Three of the photographs depict an "Old Timers' Dinner" of Rochester Folding Box Company in 1954; Ronald Sweet's mother and stepfather were employed by this company.
