Benzeman, Gleb Alekseevich, 1898-1982

The papers largely concern Russian military history and the emigre monarchist movement. There are two letters and typescripts on such themes as military education before World War I, the Benzeman family, and the kidnapping of General A. P. Kutepov in 1930. Also included are a pamphlet entitled "Imperator Nikolai II" (no author, published in Germany in 1948), and a binder entitled "Iz krasivogo proshlogo imperatorskoi Rossii" consisting of clippings of articles written by Benzeman.

Papers kept by G. Lester Anderson as Vice President of Educational Affairs of the University at Buffalo, dealing with various education problems and controversies, 1951-1964, including the case of a dental student who charged the Dental School with anti-Semitism (1958); a hearing before the State University of New York's Standing Committee on Termination of a faculty member charged with false representation in respect to signing the Feinberg Certificate (1964); transcripts of meetings of the New York State Governor's Committee on the White House Conference on Education (1955); and reports compiled by the University for the Federal Security Agency's Office of Education concerning UB's physical facilities and human resources.

Lester Anderson including correspondence, drafts of papers and speeches, reprints, reports, bibliographies, clippings, photos, and other materials relating to Anderson's role as a consultant to various institutions of higher education. Also includes his working papers for his study of the merger of the University of Buffalo with the State University of New York, and his association with various other organizations.

Papers relating to the Glinka family, namely Grigoriĭ Vi︠a︡cheslavovich; his son, Vsevolod Grigorévich; and the latter's wife, Ekaterina Osipovna. The collection consists largely of documents, with letters and a photograph. There are personal documents from Russia and from Constantinople, Bulgaria, and France; and documents relating to the family's rural estate.
