Carroll, Charles, 1767–1823

Containing a total of 39 letters and documents, The Charles Carroll (of Bellevue) Papers span the latter years of Charles Carroll of Bellevue and the adulthood of his son Charles H. Carroll. The collection is divided into two sections: ephemera and correspondence, with the correspondence subdivided into those which pertain to family and political matters.

Contains prints, photographs, and texts related to the planning of the Robert Burns statue in Washington Park Historic District (Albany, New York). Calverley researched Robert Burns’ true appearance, previous depictions, statues of Burns, statues of the intended style, and illustrated interpretations of Burns’ most famous poems. Information concerning the St. Andrew’s Society, who commissioned the statue, is included.

Cole, Charles Buckingham, 1865-1925

Seven volumes of notes used by Cole for his course in Common Law and Equity Pleading at the New York Law School. These notes indicate that he discussed a large variety of legal topics in his classes. Each volume contains about 250 pages of notes, and in some of the volumes, clippings from legal texts are pasted in and loose pages of notes are tipped in. Also, A HANDBOOK OF INFORMATION and CATALOGUE for the New York Law School plus a few letters pertaining to Cole's classes.
