This collection includes manuscript and typescript drafts and other papers associated with novels, short stories, nonfiction and criticism, poetry and children's stories, and opera librettos. There is also correspondence with literary agents, publishers, fans, students and friends. Additionally, there are papers associated with teaching and scholarship in creative writing and medieval literature, publicity materials, photographs, interviews, articles by and about Gardner, and reviews.

The archive, totaling approximately 4 linear feet, comprises material ranging from scrapbooks, photographs, and correspondence, to books, theatrical scripts, and sheet music, all reflecting Emily Gresser's life in music both in the United States and abroad from the late 1890s to the 1960s, with the majority centered on her professional performing career of 1910-1919.

Rockefeller, Laurance Spelman (1910-2004)

LSR Photographs, RG 1, Photo Files contains the bulk of LSR's loose photographic prints from his home and his office, along with some albums and slides. RG 1 is a composite collection. It contains LSR's loose or "flat" photo files, but also materials that for various reasons were not included in the other collection components at the time the collection was organized. RG 1 encompasses personal and family photos, as well as photographic documentation of LSR's business and civic activities. The Rockefeller Family Office's Public Relations files on Laurance and Mary French Rockefeller have also been included as a series in RG 1. Similarly, the photographs and albums from the former Series 1009 Photos (LSR Family) are now interfiled with RG 1.

From an early age, Laurance S. Rockefeller (LSR) was an avid photographer, and his photograph collection reflects this appreciation, along with the broad range of his activities and interests. The LSR Photographs collection is sorted into several component groupings, loosely based on format, storage location (home or office), or use (e.g., Photo Reference files), at the time his collection was arranged and catalogued.

Arranged alphabetically by Theatre name, the collection is made up of over 700 theatre programs and Playbills; included are some of the most prominent productions in the New York area during the 20th century. Often included in the programs are seating charts for specific theatres.

The materials in this collection document personal and professional life of Jurij Lawrynenko (1905-1987), prominent literature figure Ukrainian emigration, as well as the formation and development of the literary, cultural, and social life of the Ukrainian diaspora in Germany and the United States. They are extremely valuable resources for research on Ukrainian literature, journalism, publishing, and political movements, and on the history of Ukrainian emigration in the 20th century.
