Middleton, Robin
Robin Middleton is an architectural historian whose work focuses largely on French and English architecture of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The collection documents Middleton's research and writing process starting with his early dissertation work on Eugène Emmanuel Viollet-le-Duc at Cambridge University continuing into the 1990s after Middleton joined the faculty at Columbia University.

Rochester Academy of Science

The Rochester Academy of Science Papers include letters to and from the Academy, chiefly of a business nature. Also in the collection are lecture programs and announcements, reception programs, bulletins and information leaflets, lists of the membership and officers of the Academy, annual reports of officers, bills and receipts, copies of the various constitutions and bylaws, and miscellaneous folders containing papers given before the Academy, contracts with the University of Rochester Library, legislation, clippings and notices. Additionally, there are notebooks containing minutes of the geological and engineering divisions, and Entomology Section, 1946-1948; a list of the books belonging to the Academy Library, an album of photographs of the Academy members and photographs of some biological specimens, and seven boxes containing records of the Botanical Section.

Rochester Academy of Science

The four boxes of this accession were received on March 24, 1984. The contents of the boxes are mostly financial in nature, though both correspondence and various meeting minutes also figure prominently. Of particular note are the records from the 1981 Centennial Celebration and the officer records of Evelyn Wishart (recording secretary 1979-1983) and Herman S. Forest (treasurer 1984-1986 and botany section chair 1986-1988). Box 1 contains general and Centennial Celebration records, Box 2 contains primarily contains financial records and the latter Centennial Celebration records are also included. Box 3 contains further financial records, and Box 4 contains correspondence and the previously noted officer records.

This collection consists of records of the Rochester and Genesee Valley Railroad. The records date from 1853 to 1913. They include letters, memoranda, fiscal records, annual reports to Federal and New York State government agencies, records of stock sales, a stock transfer book, and stock certificates.

WXXI (Television station: Rochester, N.Y.)
The records of the Rochester Area Educational Television Association (RAETA), which date between the years 1951 and 1979, describe the organization's efforts to establish an educational television station in Rochester, New York. The collection includes committee, trustee, and membership records, program guides, FCC court dockets, board minutes, and correspondence. The fight to obtain Channel 13 is well-documented, as is RAETA's subsequent decision to withdraw their petition as it became clear that the FCC's decisions favored commercial, rather than educational, programming.
