This collection contains the Round Robin letters from the Wells College class of 1936, as well as information concerning how the letters were started and how long they continued. The letters that Wells have start in 1948 and continue through 1994. The collection also contains photographs related to the writers of the letters.

The Rowles’ Studio Collection mostly contains reproduction images created by Rowles’ Studio in Hudson, NY, which first opened in 1851 as the Francis Forshew Photography Studio and was Hudson’s first photography studio. By 1948, Rowles’ Studio had a photographic library dating back more than 90 years, which traced the progress of the city. A large portion of the prints and negatives in this collection are reproduction prints from that library, (known as the Rowles’ Studio Collection), copies of which were donated to the History Room by the last owner of the business, Carmine Ciancetta, in the final years that the shop was in operation. The bulk of the images are digital proof prints of photos taken by Rowles’ Studio in the late-19th century to late-20th century. The proof prints were created for the History Room from original and copy negatives donated by Ciancetta. However, the origin of some of these proof prints is unknown. Rowles’ Studio Collection images are mostly commercial, documenting buildings, industry, transportation, people, and events, in the City of Hudson, NY, as well as the surrounding area, including several Columbia County courthouses, circa 1890-1910, Claverack College, Kaaterskill Mountain House, and more. Additional materials in this collection include glass plate negative portraits related to the Rowles family, spanning 1890s-1940s (mostly unidentified, creator unknown), and original negatives (1940s-1950s) related to the Rowles family (creator unknown); as well as cabinet cards and carte de visite portraits created by Forshew and Whitbeck (mid-19th to mid-20th century). The collection is divided into four series. Digital surrogates of many of the images in this collection are available on the History Room computer.

This folder contains a paper headband worn at an RPI Alumni Reunion. It features a large RPI seal on the front. "Compliments of The Union National Bank Troy, NY" is printed on the back.

Rufus J Dryer was an a painter who studied in New York State and in Europe, mainly France and Spain, and created many paintings and screens until his early death in 1937.

Correspondence, lists, photographs, reports, printed ephemera, and audio and video tapes which reflected the activities of Russian-American Medical Society of New York.

The collection consists of 4 film reels, which have been digitized and are available online to Columbia affilates (and available to our public in our reading room).

A collection of items left by members of the Columbia community, as well as some local community neighbors, in tribute to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg following her death on September 18, 2020. The contents include notes, letters, posters, flowers and objects. Also includes 136 digital images of the memorial at Alma Mater as well as at Ginsburg's portrait in the Law School taken by the University Photographer, Eileen Barroso

The material that now comprises the African-Americans in Albany Research Collection began in 1967 as a research project at Guilderland Junior/Senior High School where Ruth Winne Roberts was teaching at the time. The collection contains brochures, notes, photocopied documents, clippings, invitations, programs, articles, bibliographies and photographs relating to the history of African Americans in Albany.

This collection contains material from the jewelry business of SA Gilbert and his family who continued on the legacy.
