The Albert Leffingwell Collection was originally well preserved and well organized by Leffingwell himself. The correspondence and other documents reveal the state of animal rights and mental healthcare in the U.S. in the Victorian era. The scope of the collection is wide, ranging from some early settlement claims in Aurora, NY to the grounds eye view of the Russian Revolution of 1905 and the persecution of Jews in Warsaw.

The majority of the contents of this collection are Amanda Pope’s composition papers from various English classes. The remainder of the collection contains copies of The Chronicle, material from the Junior play “Here Again, Gone Again Cardigan,” images of Amanda Pope, and profiles of alumnae.

This collection contains correspondence, meeting minutes, council records, and committee reports from the American Association of University Professors from the 1910s through the 1960s.

This collection contains the papers on Anne J. Russ, varying from her preliminary Ph D. dissertation papers and various research projects, to information and notes from her administrative work at Wells on various committees.

The Bruce Bennett Collection contains correspondence, material related to the Wells College Book Arts Center, the Victor Hammer Symposium that was held at Wells College, as well as miscellaneous material.

This collection contains records of business transactions, property investments, personal correspondence, travel diaries and ephemera from the life of Edwin Barber Morgan, as well as his father, Christopher Morgan, and known associates. In addition, it contain extensive material documenting Morgan's life and pursuits, including travel abroad, serving in the military and government, as well as his connection with the New York Times.

This collection contains material on Erastus Dow Palmer, used by Temple Hollcroft, Catherine Bacon, and Joseph Gravit, ranging from the nineteenth century to the mid-twentieth century. It also contains pictures of E.D. Palmer himself and his work.

The Else Fleissner Collection covers the period from just prior to World War Two up to 1982. Correspondence from friends inside Nazi Germany covers the World War Two period. Various correspondence, manuscripts, and personal papers cover the remaining period.

The Emily Howland Papers contains items from the personal papers and library of abolitionist, suffragist, and peace activist Emily Howland, including her collection of political pamphlets, posters, program documents, articles, conference papers, short papers, and other publications relating to topics such as women’s suffrage, anti-slavery movements, Indian rights, the Unitarian Church, and temperance.

The Ethel Tower Collection documents student life at Wells College in Aurora, New York, at the turn of the Nineteenth Century. The collection consists primarily of letters written from Ethel while at college to her mother living in Detroit. The letters span the years 1899-1903, the years that Ethel was a student at Wells. Ethel graduated in 1903. She was a member of the basketball team and involved in the Psychology department.

The collection is primarily composed of miscellaneous materials from Frances de le Montayne's association with Wells College, including an extensive collection of Goodnight Notes from her classmates. Most the material from this collection is estimated to be from the late 1920s when Frances was a student at Wells.

The Frances Folsom Cleveland Preston Collection covers three periods of the life of the famed Wells alumna. The years of 1884 to 1885 cover Frances' attendance at Wells College as a student. The second covers her life as a newly wedded First Lady of President Grover Cleveland from 1886 until the early twentieth century. The third part of the collection cover Frances' departure from the White House to her return to Aurora, New York in 1913, when she married Thomas Preston, who taught at Princeton University before teaching at Wells College. The collection also contains portraits, articles, and photographs of the commemoration after her death in 1947.

Papers of Helen Fairchild Smith, Lady Principal, Professor of English, and Dean of Wells College from 1876-1905, including correspondence and diaries.

This collection primarily contains financial records from Aurora Inn Inc., miscellaneous correspondences, and photographs from Wells in the early 20th century.

The collection contains material relating to the history of Wells College, including newspaper clippings and histories of the college written prior to Dieckmann’s publication of Wells College: A History in 1995. The collection also contains materials relating to Mary Hunter Marsh ’17 and Eleanor Hunter Byrne ’29, including correspondence written by the sisters while students at Wells College, as well as photographs, many undated or unidentified.

This collection contains correspondence, photographs and ephemera from Jane Morgan's student life at Wells College. Additionally, there are also news clippings and reunion materials contained within it.

The Jean S. Davis collection contains personal notes related to Wells College, Aurora, Auburn Prison, Dr. Macmillan, George Morgan Ward, Helen Fairchild Smith, Robert Peter Tristram Coffin, Frances Folsom Cleveland, and many professors from Wells.

The LBA (Lesbian Bisexual Alliance) Papers cover the groups' activities on the Wells College campus from the years between 1988 and 1995. Included are meeting minutes, programs, educational material, as well as information on UNYGALIN (Upstate NY Gay and Lesbian Intercollegiate Network).

The collection contains letters written by the women from 1923 until 1981. Also included in the collection are photographs of the women.

The majority of this collection is the correspondence between Sylvia Warner and those she sought information from; the Takada family, Wells college, etc. The remainder of this collection includes the original manuscript, the published book, handwritten poems of Robert Coffin, info on atomic weapons.
