Archives & Special Collections is Upstate Medical University's only repository for archival, and rare printed and 3-dimensional materials, making it an invaluable resource for faculty and students, and visiting researchers interested in the history of medicine and science. We welcome researchers year-round.<br /> <br /> The Archival holdings currently include more than 2000 linear feet of records relating to Upstate Medical University and it's predecessor institutions, Geneva College of Medicine (1834-1871) and Syracuse University College of Medicine (1872-1949). Finding aids have been made available online to assist researchers in using collections that have been processed.

This collection contains the papers of Mary D. Burnham, who was a Deaconess, Director of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Diocese of Central New York, founder of the Dakota League, and live-in House Mother, Superintendent, and Treasurer of Current Receipts for the House and Hospital of the Good Shepherd in Syracuse. Boden, Edwin R. and Pfaff, Otto
This collection contains the papers of Edwin R. Boden, who was the health officer of Oneida and graduated from the Long Island College Hospital in 1881, and Otto Pfaff, who graduated from the City University of New York in 1888 and held many medical positions in Oneida beginning in 1891. The collection has two series, Writings and Oneida Health Officer.

Fisher, Seymour
This collection contains the papers of Seymour Fisher, who was a Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, and head of the psychology research program at SUNY Upstate Medical University. The highlights of this collection are his correspondence with colleagues and research data from his Rorschach ink blot tests. This collection has six series: Administrative and Teaching Records, Correspondence, Printed Materials, Research, Writings by Dr. Fisher, and Writings by Others.
