This collection was created and donated by Jack L. Ellsworth. It is comprised of several notebooks of photocopied materials relating to the Ellsworth and Grippin Families.
Grace Maguire Swanner, MD, was the assistant to Walter S. McClellan who was the Medical Directory of the Saratoga Spa. She also authored "Saratoga - Queen of Spas" in 1988. This collection includes items from her professional life as well as the source materials she used to write her book.
The Lincoln Springs Collection contains personnel and business dealing of Deyoe Lohnas, owner of the Lincoln Springs Company in Saratoga Springs during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The Caroline Slade Collection reflects the life of author and activist, Caroline Slade, including drafts of her writing, personal and business correspondence, and scrapbooks she maintained. The collection also consists of published pieces, photographs, and ephemera.
Frustrated that the history of the Jewish citizens of Saratoga Springs was not well represented, and memories were failing, Sophie Goldstein and Florence Susman began the Saratoga County Jewry History Project. The two librarians designed and conducted oral history interviews of the Jewish community members. The collection also contains papers and ephemera collected by Sophie about the Jewish population of Saratoga.
