Mary Adrienne Steckling Coen (1934-2006) graduated from Parsons School of Design's Fashion Design Department in 1958. In 1966, "Adri" --her professional name-- created her own line, designing under her own labels for the rest of her career. The records document Adri's professional life, with items arranged by year and season. Includes clippings and tear sheets, photographs, press kits, sketches, swatches, and video recordings.

Consists of records generated by Albert Landa (1927-2008), who started in 1960 as director of Public Information and became vice president of Development and Public Relations at The New School, and then held the title of Vice President, until his retirement in 1985. The records in this collection are notable because Landa was deeply involved in a rapid expansion of the university, including its 1970 incorporation of Parsons School of Design. The collection comprises six series, representing activities related to most of the major divisions and institutes of the university. Materials relate primarily to the development of new programs, building projects, fund raising, and public relations. Some documents in this collection are restricted. Allen Austill (1927-2016) joined The New School in 1962. In 1965, he was appointed dean of the Adult Division and in 1987, he was named chancellor of the university and held this position until his retirement in 1989. The Allen Austill records are a small but significant set of materials largely relating to Austill's activities at The New School that fell outside of his primary role as dean of the Adult Division, including new program initiatives. Charles Harbutt taught photography at Parsons School of Design from the early 1990s until his death in 2015. He served as the president of the photographic cooperative Magnum twice, and his work appeared in many publications and exhibitions. The collection consists of material created and assembled by Harbutt for his Parsons classes.

The collection consists of thirty-three graphic novels written and illustrated by undergraduate students enrolled in Julia Gorton and Madeline Schwartzman's Spring 2007 Parsons School of Design Lab course.

Irene Walker (1919-2002) was a Parsons School of Design alumna ('51) and an interior designer, who worked for the firm McMillen Inc., before establishing her own firm, Joie de Vivre, Irene Walker Inc., in 1966. The collection consists of Walker's student work and documentation of her professional work.

Laura Auricchio was an art history professor at The New School, 2002-2019, who also served in several administrator roles. This born-digital collection consists of course materials and administrative records from her tenure as a faculty member and administrator, primarily in the roles of chair of humanities for the Schools of Public Engagement and dean of the School of Undergraduate Studies.

Malcolm Carter became director of The New School's university communications in 1985. The Malcolm Carter University Communications records document the three primary areas of activity over which Carter had oversight: advertising and marketing; public relations; and publications. Materials include memoranda, letters, reports, and printed materials, encompassing the range of Carter's activities.

Margaret Louise Lange's notebook, produced while a student of Costume Design and Illustration at Parsons School of Design, 1938-1939, includes lecture notes, sketches, color studies and fashion clippings.

Fashion illustrator Michaele Vollbracht (1947-2018) graduated from Parsons in 1968, and returned periodically as a visiting critic. After working as a design assistant for Geoffrey Beene, Donald Brooks, and Norman Norell, Vollbracht turned to fashion illustration and portraiture. In 1985 Vollbracht published Nothing Sacred, an illustrated memoir, and in 2000 Parsons mounted an exhibition to celebrate the release of an updated version of the book. The bulk of the collection is comprised of fashion illustrations and designer portraits Vollbracht created for a 1972 fashion show celebrating Parsons School of Design's 75th anniversary and the establishment of the school's Gimbel Library. Also includes a sketch of Vollbracht's iconic Bloomingdale's shopping bag of 1975.
