The Activism at The New School oral history program, initiated in 2019, documents touchstone moments of activism on The New School's campus from the perspective of students, faculty, and staff who participated. As of April 2020, interviewees include activists in the anti-Vietnam War movement; the 1996-1997 Mobilization for Real Diversity, Democracy, and Economic Justice at The New School; and campus protests in the 2000s-2010s.

The New School began inputting course information into the database, Banner [banner.newschool.edu] around 2007. As of 2021, all New School course data is input into Banner through an interface called Tableau. This collection contains course data that has either been downloaded from Banner or from other New School websites. All divisions and undergraduate schools are represented, but courses for each college are not comprehensive.

This collection consists of records of the undergraduate gender studies minor program at The New School, covering roughly the time the gender studies minor was discussed in committee at the university in 2006 to the end of Miriam Ticktin's directorship in 2014, the last year comprehensively documented. The bulk of the files document the program under the direction of Ann Snitow (2009-2012).

Arranged chronologically, the files concern subjects such as hiring, admissions, and various committees during her first year as university provost.
