Finnegan, Marchand M.
Collection contains files of Marchand (Shonnie) Finnegan as Secretary & Vice President of the University of Buffalo Chapter, American Association of University Professors and it's Committee on Academic Freedom and Tenure, mainly concerning the period of campus unrest, 1969-1971 and the arrest of the 45 faculty members during student protests in the Spring of 1970. Also included are some faculty grievance files and publications from the national association.

Includes annotated manuscripts of Dr. Bernhardt S. Gottlieb's books Understanding Your Adolescent (1957), What a Boy Should Know About Sex (1960), What a Girl Should Know About Sex (1961), and What You Should Know About Marriage. Also includes handwritten notes, an annotated copy of Gottlieb's thesis submitted to Columbia University for the degree of Doctor of Medicine Science (The Prognosis in Hebephrenic Schizophrenia), and a reprint of an article based on the thesis published in the American Journal of Psychiatry (September 1940).

Of particular interest to the study of the woman suffrage movement in Buffalo are membership lists of the Woman Workers Suffrage League (ca. 1908) and from the Buffalo Political Equality League (ca. 1905).

The Henry Amos Wilmot Papers consist primarily of the financial records of Dr. Wilmot from the time of his graduation from the University of Buffalo Medical School in 1877 until his death in 1924, documenting names of patients, dates of treatments, costs, and when, how or whether Dr. Wilmot was paid. Also includes letter files, consisting mainly of bills for medical supplies and other items, as well as Dr. Wilmot's framed diploma.
