Rautenstrauch, Walter, 1880-1951

Scientific, professional, and academic papers of Rautenstrauch, consisting chiefly of notes, outlines, charts, and memoranda assembled by him for his courses at Columbia, his lectures, articles, and professional consultations. There is also a group of blueprints, plans, charts, and graphs related to various American industries and a large group of miscellaneous unbound periodicals, pamphlets, reports, and other printed material.

Correspondence, memoranda, notes, and related printed material relating to the independence of Micronesia. Correspondents include Roger Nash Baldwin, Director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Alan Reitman, Associate Director, other ACLU officials, Roger W. Gale, Director, Friends of Micronesia, William B. Nabors, a lawyer in the Marianas, and numerous other Micronesians and Americans concerned with Micronesia. There are memoranda by Gutmann and Baldwin as well as lengthy individual memoranda by others including professors Eugene B. Mihaly (University of California, Berkeley) and Leonard Mason (University of Hawaii). Also, miscellaneous notes, a small group of newspaper and magazine clippings, a few selected issues of Micronesian periodicals, and United Nations printed documents relating to Micronesia.

Correspondence, typescripts, research notes, index cards, photocopies, and photographs of THE LAW PRACTICE OF ALEXANDER HAMILTON publication project, 1961-1981. These editorial research files of Julius Ludwig Goebel, Joseph Henry Smith, and their staff contain research notes with related correspondence, edited typescript drafts of parts of the published volumes, typescript copies, and photoreproductions of autograph letters, manuscripts, and documents collected by the editors for use in their publication THE LAW PRACTICE OF ALEXANDER HAMILTON.

Racz, André, 1916-1994

Correspondence and works of Andre Racz, including one letter from Gabriela Mistral, 1952, a portrait of her (etching-aquatint), Ricz's etching (metal plate) for Mistral's POEMAS DE LAS MADRES (Santiago, Chile, 1950), a Christmas card, 1970, illustrated and signed by Racz, and a holograph of Thomas Merton's poem AUBADE--HARLEM, Racz's facsimile of this poem etched on a zinc plate, and his artist's proof pulled from the plate. Also, signature practice page for scroll presented to President Sovern by the Executive Committee of the Faculty in appreciation of his work as chairman, 1968.
