This collection consists of postcards from the early twentieth century depicting Columbia University buildings, sites, and related imagery. These postcards were collected over the years by Columbia alum Will Csaplar (AB 1957, AM 1958).

Correspondence between William Samuel Johnson, 1727-1819, and his son Robert Charles Johnson, 1766-1806, concerning personal business in Connecticut and a father's advice to a young man entering his law career. Some of the father's letters of special interest were written during his term as U.S. Senator (1791), and some concern British-French trade relations, 1793. There are also copies of letters to Johnson from Cadwallader Colden, Silas Deane, James Duane, John Fitch, Jonathan Trumbull, and William Williams. Other letters have been added

Papers of the American literary critic, editor, educator, author. Collection contains correspondence (1943-1967) and writings (1960-1966). Correspondents include Kingsley Amis, Caroline Gordon, Lewis Mumford, Karl Jay Shapiro, Allen Tate, Lionel Trilling, Robert Penn Warren, and others. Writings include typescripts of books, plays, and an untitled and unfinished collection of literary reminiscences.

The collection consists of Joffe's correspondence, manuscripts/notes, and newspaper clippings. Joffe's correspondence in Yiddish in English is both personal and professional, covering communication with institutions he was working at or hoping to work at. Joffe's manuscripts contain drafts for lectures and notes on university seminars and lectures he attended under Prof. Roman Jakobson and others. Joffe's newspaper clippings contain a selection of clippings relating to Prof. Peck, his undergraduate advisor, and miscellaneous clippings.
