The Wells College Archives, located on the third floor of the Louis Jefferson Long Library, houses material documenting the history of Wells College from 1868 to the present. In addition to many collections, the Archives is also home to a growing collection of senior theses.
This collection contains records of business transactions, property investments, personal correspondence, travel diaries and ephemera from the life of Edwin Barber Morgan, as well as his father, Christopher Morgan, and known associates. In addition, it contain extensive material documenting Morgan's life and pursuits, including travel abroad, serving in the military and government, as well as his connection with the New York Times.
The Ella Wells Stone Collection of Henry Wells' Papers focuses mainly on the biographical aspect of his rise as the famous founder of the American Express Company, co-founder of the Wells Fargo Express Mail and Banking Service, and most notably, founder of Wells College in Aurora, New York
