Vera List Center for Art and Politics
The Vera List Center for Art and Politics is a research institute affiliated with The New School that supports artists, hosts events, organizes exhibitions, and publishes books focused on culture and politics. The Vera List Center records include program files containing planning documents and promotional material, as well as publication and administrative files.

Parsons School of Design. Communication Design Department
Mounted posters from the exhibition, "Unity and Diversity: a selection of posters from the Communication Design Department at Parsons School of Design," created by junior-year Communication Design students at Parsons. Thirty posters were chosen for the exhibition out of 180 entries submitted to a poster competition held by the Communications Design Department on the theme of "diversity, the underlying theme of the American Republic" in 1994.

The New School Graduate Faculty established the East and Central Europe Program in 1990, expanding to become the Transregional Center for Democratic Studies (TCDS) in 1997, to foster dialogue on democratic theory and practice in East and Central Europe, Central America and southern Africa, among other regions. The collection documents the center's events, seminars, workshops, and conferences. Also includes research and course files of TCDS founder, Elzbieta Matynia.

Williams, Tracyann
Records of Tracyann Williams, PhD, who served as director of Academic Affairs for the Bachelor's Program for Adult and Transfer Students (BPATS) in The New School's Schools of Public Engagement until she left the university in early 2020. Includes documentation on the Diversity Committee and the Diversity Task Force, the Gender Studies program, the Faculty Senate, and Students of the African Diaspora, for whom Williams was a faculty advisor.

New School for Social Research (New York, N.Y. : 1919-1997)
The Schools of Public Engagement was formed in 2011 with the reorganization of the New School for General Studies. As of 2016, the division consisted of: the Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students (BPATS); the School of Languages; the School of Media Studies; the Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy; and the Creative Writing Program. The collection also holds the 1991-2008 records of the World Policy Institute. Dating largely from the 1990s until 2014, these records contain correspondence, memoranda, reports, budget and financial material, and faculty and personnel files relating to the administration and governance of the Schools of Public Engagement and their predecessor programs, departments, and schools. New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music
The School of Jazz and Contemporary Music was established at The New School in 1986 and, as of 2020, is a department within the College of Performing Arts. These records, largely compiled by former dean Martin Mueller, cover the School of Jazz from its inception to Mueller's retirement in 2016. Includes audiovisual recordings, budget and fundraising records, clippings, correspondence, photographs, publicity materials, and reports and studies. The International Association of Schools of Jazz of which Mueller was a founding member is also well documented in the records.

Kirkbride, Robert
The records in this collection, dating from 1985-2013, document Parsons School of Design faculty member Robert Kirkbride's involvement in faculty bodies and reviews of academic programs at The New School, primarily between 2004 and 2013, including his role as faculty advisor on the design and construction of the New School University Center at 65 Fifth Avenue. Also represented are materials documenting Kirkbride's participation in the curriculum review of various Parsons undergraduate programs and events and exhibitions in Parsons' Product Design Department.

Consists of Parsons School of Design syllabi compiled by the Office of the Dean in electronic formats between 2006 and 2014. While not comprehensive, approximately 20,000 courses are documented over a seven year period during which Parsons School of Design experienced a significant structural re-organization.

A collection of 4 x 5 inch color transparencies of work probably created 1970 through 1975 by Parsons School of Design students in the Communication Design, Environmental Design, Fashion Design, Fashion Illustration, General Illustration, and Graphic Design departments, including work that was exhibited in end of year shows and annual Society of Illustrators Scholarship Competitions.

This collection consists predominantly of 35 mm slides of work by students in courses that comprised Parsons School of Design's first year program, formerly known as the Foundation Year Program, between 1975 and 2004. Some of the slides are associated with the course in which the work was created: 3D and 2D Design, Drawing Fundamentals, Drawing Concepts, and Digital Design. Also includes some course materials and color photocopies of student work.
