The Academic Regalia collection contains robes, hoods, and caps worn by University of Rochester administrators, faculty, students, and trustees at formal events. Descriptions of regalia include the name of the manufacturer (Cotrell and Leonard, for example) when this information is known. Each set of regalia has been assigned a number, which appears before the title of the item(s).

Livingston, Clarence A.

Livingston's papers consist of a one volume manuscript, titled "'Itchy Feet, a Sort of Autobiography." It was written by Mr. Livingston in 1953, and describes the construction of the Eastman Theatre and of the River Campus. It also tells of his many trips of different parts of the world. Also in the collection is the typescript of the diary Livingston kept between July 22, 1925 and May 20, 1930 describing his activities as General Superintendent of Eastman Theater.

Hess, Helen Caroline, 1911-1990

This photograph album created by Helen C. Hess (Class of 1933) contains images of the University of Rochester's Prince Street Campus, River Campus, Memorial Art Gallery, and Commencement 1933. It also contains photographs of downtown Rochester and a fire on Lake Avenue in 1935. A number of images show Hess and friends on trips to parks and other sites in the surrounding area, including Conesus Lake, the Adirondacks (for a state geologic field trip), Durand Eastman Park, Ellison Park, Roseland on Canandaigua Lake, Niagara Falls, Hemlock Lake Park, Powder Mills Park, Hamlin Beach Park, and Letchworth Park.

The Henry C. Mills Vice President for Educational Administration Papers contain materials for the academic years 1958/1959 through 1963/1964. The collection is organized by year, and each year consists of three sections: staff folders, folders corresponding to schools and colleges at the University, and subject folders.
