This collection contains material related to the last phase of the College of Engineering expansion plan, the renovation of Gavett Hall, carried out between 1962 and 1966. Items include requisitions, order forms, correspondence, reports, photographs, and floor plans.

The collection contains a great deal of information about Elizabeth Holahan's restoration and the many group tours hosted by the Sproulls.

Applications for admissions, 1906-1945, to the College for Men.

Correspondence and subject folder files of the Dean of the College for Men. The early years appear to be incomplete, and the year 1943-1944 is missing. In addition, there appears to be some material of Mr. Wilder's as Director of Admissions.

Mimeographed, dittoed, and typescript material revealing the impact of the War on the College and its students. Included are test scores of V-12 and civilian students (1943-1944); information on the accelerated program; correspondence (1942-1943) to and from, Dr. D. Lincoln Canfield, Class Officer (Class of 1946); and general information regarding reserve programs, enlistments, etc.

This collection contains vocational questionnaires sent to, and returned by, alumnae of the College for Women from the Class of 1930 through the Class of 1961, and related materials. In addition to asking women graduates about their occupational history, these mailings included questions about women's interests and hobbies, marriage and family, place of residence, studies pursued after leaving the University of Rochester, how well they felt college prepared them for the future, and which courses they would recommend. They date from 1929 to 1962. The collection is subdivided into three series: 1) the vocational questionnaires themselves, 2) administrative material relating to them, and 3) analyses.
