The collection contains oversize proofs and mock-ups of Ford Foundation publications, internal memos referencing edits to publications, photographs and negatives from various publications, and books from the Ford Foundation's library.

The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation records documents the foundation's early history and programs. The majority of the material is biographical in nature, with only a small amount of grant-related records which can be found in the Grant Products series.
