Material of Alice Harriet Colby (1881-1950; U of R Class of 1904; M.A., U of R, 1908) relating to the University of Rochester. Includes material on the girls' basketball team and many photographs of faculty members and campus scenes. Non-University material consists of some photographic albums of summers at Georgian Bay, Pt.-au-Baril, Ontario, Canada, 1907-1909. There is also material on the Y.W.C.A. and its camp at Silver Bay, New York.
The Facilities Archives and Record Center Data Books Collection consists of various data/records, photographs, and architectural drawings relating to River Campus, Prince Street Campus, and Eastman School of Music buildings and facilities.
This collection contains material related to the last phase of the College of Engineering expansion plan, the renovation of Gavett Hall, carried out between 1962 and 1966. Items include requisitions, order forms, correspondence, reports, photographs, and floor plans.
This collection contains photographs of Browning and her classmates at the University of Rochester's College for Women. Most of these were taken during Browning's freshman year, and many show locations on the Prince Street Campus. The names of students written on the backs of photographs are tentative.
This collection is comprised of mostly photographs of the different stages of construction of the Eastman Theatre and images of some of the workers who helped build it. It also contains the Apprentice Card of Frank Whalen, timekeeper for the International Association of Bridge and Structural Iron Workers, Local Union No. 33 of Rochester, NY.
This photograph album created by Helen C. Hess (Class of 1933) contains images of the University of Rochester's Prince Street Campus, River Campus, Memorial Art Gallery, and Commencement 1933. It also contains photographs of downtown Rochester and a fire on Lake Avenue in 1935. A number of images show Hess and friends on trips to parks and other sites in the surrounding area, including Conesus Lake, the Adirondacks (for a state geologic field trip), Durand Eastman Park, Ellison Park, Roseland on Canandaigua Lake, Niagara Falls, Hemlock Lake Park, Powder Mills Park, Hamlin Beach Park, and Letchworth Park.
The collection includes correspondence, photographs, and other materials relating to the Institute of Optics. Correspondence is mainly between Evans and University of Rochester President Dennis O'Brien and relates to papers written by President O'Brien. Photographs show Evans and optical equipment. Institute materials include lists of faculty and degrees. There is also information about the Industrial Associates Program, in which representatives from optics companies visit the Institute and meet with students and faculty.
