Correspondence consists of letters from a number of important cultural figures in the emigration, including: Ivan Bunin, Zinaida Guppius, Aleksandr Kuprin, Pavel Mili︠u︡kov, Alekseĭ Remizov, Nadezhda Teffi, and Alekseĭ Tolstoĭ; there are also one or two letters each from Konstantin Balḿont, Dmitriĭ Merezhkovskiĭ, Ili︠́a︡ Repin, Fedor Shali︠a︡pin, and Marina T︠S︡vetaeva. There are manuscripts of several works by Shpoli︠a︡nskiĭ, including his memoirs, "Poezd na tretém puti" (New York, 1954).

Printed materials consist of clippings of her articles, and one book by her entitled "Kartochnye domiki sovetskogo stroitelśtva" (1920).

Papers consist of manuscripts and printed materials. Manuscripts include a typescript memoir by Gagarin about Simferopol in 1917-18, two brief essays by Gagarin on the rivers Neva and Volga, and a typed copy of a letter from a soldier in World War I to a nurse. Printed materials include scattered issues of and clippings from "Russkoe Slovo" one issue of "Sei︠a︡teĺ" two issues of "Chasovoĭ" three issues of "Russkiĭ Invalid" and twenty-one issues of "Osvedomitel ́Leĭb-Egereĭ" and a copy of "Epizody proshlogo. Rasskazy iz zhizni avtora i izbrannye stikhotvorenii︠a︡" (Buenos Aires, 1972), a collection of poems and brief memoiristic essays, manuscripts of some which are among Gagarin's papers.
The collection primarily consists of unpublished manuscripts by Shavelśkiĭ. There are also letters from Shavelśkiĭ to his daughter (Marii︠a︡ Novit︠s︡kai︠a︡), several photographs of Shavelśkiĭ, clippings and miscellaneous printed items. Shavelśkiĭ's manuscripts include his memoirs (1920) which describe church affairs in Russia, World War I, the Imperial family and the 1917 Revolution; "Nabroski s natury" (1947), a series of brief essays and stories; "Pokhod protiv Rasputina" (n.d.); "Russkai︠a︡ t︠s︡erkov ́pred revoli︠u︡t︠s︡ieĭ" (1937); and "V dobrovolćheskoĭ armii" (1943), which describes Shavelśkiĭ's service as an army chaplain. Other manuscripts include brief sketches of Shavelśkiĭ by Feodor Bokach and N.N. Glubokovskiĭ.

The papers include Grundt's memoirs, a play, and correspondence. The memoirs are in two series: "Baletnye vospominanii︠a︡ (4 notebooks, 392 p.), and "Moi︠a︡ anekdoticheskai︠a︡ zhizn"́ (3 notebooks, 288 p.). The memoirs deal with her career in the ballet in Russia and, after she emigrated in 1920, in Yugoslavia and France; emigre cultural life in Europe; and her personal life. Also included are two poems and two stories by Nikolaĭ D. Rudich, which he sent to Grundt.

Also included are three biographical articles by K. Mochulśkiĭ, M. Vishni︠a︡k and her mother Sofii︠a︡ Borisovna Pilenko, as well as her own childhood and that of her mother and grandmother during the era of Alexander I, Nicholas I, and Alexander II.

Memoirs and manuscripts of Sokolov. The memoirs pertain to his military service in 1914-1920. The most detailed account is "Kak ono bylo" describing primarily World War I. Shorter works include: "I︠U︡g Rossii" which describes the founding of the State Guard (Gosudarstvennai︠a︡ Strazha), which was supposed to replace the Imperial Police (1915); "Dobroarmii︠a︡--k sorokaletii︠u︡ kont︠s︡a vooruzhennoĭ Beloĭ Borb́y" which describes the 1917 Revolution and the formation of the White Army in Moscow, Kiev and Odessa; a lecture read in Paris, on March 12, 1929, entitled "Svi︠a︡tokrestovskiĭ Partizanskiĭ otri︠a︡d--v borb́e protiv krasnykh v 1920 godu i otkhod otri︠a︡da v Gruzii︠u︡." Also included is a typed copy of an unpublished novel entitled "Valerii︠a︡ and Vera" under his pseudonym Sokolovsky.

The collection consists primarily of manuscripts and clippings of articles and stories Bel'deninov wrote in the 1950s and 1960s and published in such emigre periodicals as "Russkii Put'", "Nashe Vremia" and "Rossiia". Several memoirs by Bel'deninov touch on such topics as his education in Irkutsk and St. Petersburg, his legal practice before and during the revolutionary period, and the Civil War in Siberia.

The collection consists of manuscripts, memoirs and a printed item. Manuscripts consist of poems by Maĭborodov, including a typescript of a poema entitled "Bogdan Khmelńit︠s︡kiĭ." The memoirs primarily concern the years 1900-1938 and include Maĭborodov's reminiscences as a student at St. Petersburg University (1900-1904) and his reminiscences of his service as a zemstvo chief in the Volyni︠a︡n, Podoli︠a︡n, Bessarabian and Kherson provinces from 1904-1916. The printed item is an off-print (61 p.) of a memoir entitled "S frant︠s︡uzami," which was published in "Arkhiv Russkoĭ Revoli︠u︡tsii." In the collection it is part of the memoir "Vo vremi︠a︡ smuty (pri vremennom pravitelśtve) [1917-1920]."

Cataloged correspondents are Georgiĭ Adamovich, George Kennan, Vasiliĭ Maklakov, I︠U︡liĭ Margolin, Sofii︠a︡ Pregeĺ Harrison Salisbury, I︠U︡riĭ Terapi︠a︡no, Nikolaĭ Uli︠́a︡nov, and Edmund Wilson. There are manuscripts of several stories by Olǵa, and of her biography of Vladimir; also included are the memoirs of N.N. Savvin about the St. Petersburg Polytechnic Institute. Printed materials include articles about Vladimir and his obituaries. There is a photograph of the "Normandie" coming into an American port in the 1930s.

The correspondence includes letters from such individuals as Emile Baës, Vladimir Burt︠s︡ev, Nikolaĭ Evreĭnov, Galina Kuznet︠s︡ova, Boris Lazarevskiĭ, Alekseĭ Remizov, Ivan Shmelov, Boris Zaĭt︠s︡ev, and Leonid Zurov. Nearly all the manuscripts are by Unkovskiĭ, and include essays, stories, and excerpts from his memoirs, many of which were published in emigre journals. There are a number of scrapbooks containing clippings of his articles. In addition, the collection contains galleys of books by Unkovskiĭ, and copies of some of his full-length works, including "Ikary" (1942) and "Andreĭ Klinskiĭ" (1940).
