There is a transcription of nine letters written by Erenburg-Manotti from Central Asia to her family in 1910; a brief biography of her brother, Ili︠́a︡ L. Erenburg (not the writer Ili︠́a︡ G. Erenburg); and brief autobiographical essays and excerpts, entitled "Desi︠a︡t ́let vospominanii︠a︡ (1919-1929)""Avtobiografii︠a︡, and "J'ai 88 ans.".

The collection consists of correspondence, manuscripts, documents, a photograph, and printed material, primarily from the period 1941-1957. Included are letters from Ivan Bunin, Marc Chagall, Mikhail Karpovich, Vasiliĭ Maklakov, W. Somerset Maugham, Vladimir Nabokov, Ili︠́a︡ Repin, Edmund Wilson, Boris Zaĭt︠s︡ev and many others. Manuscripts of his works include "Istoki""Nachalo kont︠s︡a""Zhivi, kak khochesh"́, and "The Escape" (English translation of "Begstvo"), such shorter tales as "Noch ́v terminale""Povest ́o smerti", and "Ulḿskai︠a︡ noch"́, as well as numerous articles, book reviews and essays. There are financial records for "Novyĭ Zhurnal", which Aldanov helped found, and the clippings are mainly articles about Aldanov. There is one late photograph of Aldanov.

Four manuscripts and one letter by Alekseev. Three of the manuscripts are in a series entitled "Zhivye vstrechi" and are character sketches of Ivan Bunin, Daniil Ratgauz, and Boris Lazarevskiĭ.

The papers consist of correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, and printed materials, chiefly concerning 1907-1917. They are particularly useful for the study of the second Russian State Duma (1907), the Russian Social Democratic School on Capri, the "Vpered" group of Social Democrats, the relationship between Maksim Gorḱiĭ and Leonid Andreev, and World War I. Russian Social Democratic correspondents include Aleksandr Bogdanov, Vladimir Lenin, Anatoliĭ Lunacharskiĭ, I︠U︡liĭ Martov, Georgiĭ Plekhanov, Mikhail Pokrovskiĭ, and Lev Trot︠s︡kiĭ. There are letters by such European socialists as Pablo Iglesias Posse, Karl Kautsky, Rosa Luxemburg, and Benito Mussolini, and a series of letters from Gorḱiĭ to Andreev (1899-1915). There is a large number of petitions ("nakazy" "proshenii︠a︡" etc.) sent by people to Aleksinskiĭ when he was a Duma delegate. Authors of manuscripts in the collection include Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, Gorḱiĭ, Lenin, and Lunacharskiĭ. Printed materials consist of Aleksinskiĭ's writings, issues of chiefly Russian emigre periodicals from 1908 to the 1960s, books by various persons, and ephemera.

Correspondence, documents, photographs, and printed materials of astronomer Leonid Leonidovich Andrenko, chiefly concerning Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovskii, Russian pioneer in the fields of rocketry and aerodynamics.

Papers of General Alekseĭ Petrovich Arkhangelśkiĭ, consisting of correspondence, manuscripts, financial records, membership lists, photographs and miscellaneous printed materials. Most of the documents in the collection pertain to the activities of ROVS and its divisions and member organizations, especially its Fifth Section (Belgium), in the late 1920s and the 1930s and 1940s. The correspondence (1924-1954) is primarily between Arkhangelśkiĭ and other military officers, including A.I. Denikin, P.P.N. Krasnov, E.K. Miller, P.N. Wrangel, V.K. Vitkovskiĭ, I.A. Kholḿsen, P.A. Kusonskiĭ, P.K. Kondzerovskiĭ, E.S. Imnadze, etc. The manuscripts encompass official orders and pronouncements, information bulletins, speeches, announcements, manifestos, emigre military course instruction manuals and reports. Many of the latter deal with Soviet internal affairs and foreign policy. The collection also includes photographs, chiefly of White Army personnel in Yugoslavia in the early 1920s, miscellaneous printed materials, ROVS financial records for the period 1924-1926, various membership lists as well as 24 separate subject files, including materials on the founding of ROVS Fifth Section, ROVS activities in North America, Australia, and the Far East, the ROVS Court of Honor, the Russian Defense Corps (Russkiĭ Okhranyĭ Korpus) in Yugoslavia in World War II, the "Vnutrenni︠a︡i︠a︡ Linii︠a︡" and others.

S.Leskova pisatelnitsy Natalii Dmiitrievny Bakharevoi)" (45p.), by N. D.Bakhareva, granddaughter of the Russian writer N. S. Leskov (1831-1895). Also included is some correspondence (copies) between Bakhareva and William B. Edgerton concerning possible errors and inconsistencies in the manuscript.

Correspondence, manuscripts, documents, and photographs of Bakunina. Most of the collection consists of letters from the period 1945-1974 by Bakunina's friends and relatives. Cataloged correspondence is from George Vernadsky (Bakunina's cousin), Vadim Rudnev, Sofii︠a︡ Panina, Petr Bit︠s︡illi, and Nikolaĭ Astrov; some of the letters are addressed to Bakunina's husband, Mikhail A. (d. 1962). Manuscripts include brief memoirs by Bakunina and her husband.
