The Academic Regalia collection contains robes, hoods, and caps worn by University of Rochester administrators, faculty, students, and trustees at formal events. Descriptions of regalia include the name of the manufacturer (Cotrell and Leonard, for example) when this information is known. Each set of regalia has been assigned a number, which appears before the title of the item(s).

The ADAM International Review Papers contain records from the University of Rochester's affiliation with the literary magazine ADAM. These materials date from 1968 to 1973. The papers also include photocopied manuscripts that the magazine's founder-editor, Miron Grindea, donated to the University. The collection is organized into five series: 1) correspondence, 2) distribution, 3) finances, 4) publicity, and 5) manuscripts.

This collection includes Adviser's Handbooks from the 1971/1972 academic year to the present. Handbooks are organized alphabetically and cover topics such as academic honesty, grades, majors, and studying abroad. The last few pages of some handbooks provide advisers with examples of paperwork such as "add/drop" forms, requests for an incomplete grade, and approval forms for concentrations and minors. The collection also includes some copies of handbooks that have been annotated. In addition to the handbooks themselves, some folders contain correspondence, notes, and information about University programs. Starting in the 2015/2016 academic year, handbooks were produced in electronic form only; printed copies have been included in the collection.

The Kodak-University of Rochester Exhibit Collection consists of the photographs and slides used in a joint exhibit in 1960. The photographs are primarily scenes from the River Campus and University Medical Center Pediatrics unit, as well as classrooms from area schools.

O'Connor, Joseph
This collection includes the published and personal works of Joseph O'Connor, his wife Evangeline O'Connor, and their daughter Evelyn O'Connor. In addition to personal journals, letters, and other paper ephemera, this collection includes newspaper clippings from 'The Rochesterian', 'The Indianapolis Sentinel', The Rochester Post Express', and 'The Buffalo Courier'. Many of the handwritten works by Joseph and Evangeline O'Connor in this collection were transposed to type in the 1940s for easier reading.

Reunions collection, 1909-2017 18.25 Linear Feet

The Reunions collection contains materials related to University reunions from the Class of 1871 to the present. Items include publications; ephemera; mailings; photographs; and planning documents such as meeting minutes, itineraries, registration forms, and information about alumni. Materials were generated by the Office of Alumni Relations and by alumni volunteers who worked with them to plan reunions. Among other activities, reunion planners collected updates from alumni and used them to create a booklet about members of a given class. This publication has varied in style and has been circulated under a variety of titles over the years: "Questionnaires," "Personal History," "Autobiographies," "Life Lines," "Alumni Updates," "Bulletin," "Who's Who in the Class of ___?," and more recently "Class Memory Book." In these booklets, alumni have shared memories from the University of Rochester and details about their career paths, families, and other aspects of their lives.

Cumulative grade record folders of Rochester Prize Scholarship holders, Classes of 1940, 1942, and 1944 of the College for Men. The folders were apparently filled out after the 1939-1940 school year (except the folders of the Class of 1944, which were filled out at mid-term in the fall semester of 1940).

United States. Army. Students' Army Training Corps

The Student Army Training Corp Collection (1918-1919) contains material such as correspondence, reports, publications, and forms. Reports include information about trainees such as their general health, academic program, housing, medical insurance, and clothing inventory. The collection also includes rosters showing the number of men enrolled, returning students, departing students, and officers, as well as financial documents such as claims, payrolls, and expense sheets. Publications for the general public include bulletins, newspaper clippings, and general information booklets. Materials from early 1919 are located, for the most part, at the end of the collection; these items relate to equipment-removal strategies, demobilizing plans, financial claims, and other topics.

The Wilson Day Materials collection contains items related both to the day's original focus on seminars, concerts, and other events and to its current form as a day of community service. Materials from earlier Wilson Day celebrations (1972-1987) include letters of invitation, tickets, programs, speeches, photograph albums, and press clippings, as well as planning material such as guest lists, correspondence between guests and event organizers, and drafts of programs and letters of invitation. Early correspondence is between Chancellor W. Allen Wallis, University Relations Director Don Lyon, and Wilson Day committee members. Correspondence is also between Lyon or President Robert L. Sproull and those involved with planning Wilson Day. Letters of invitation are from President Sproull. Materials from 1990 onward consist of correspondence among organizers, service project lists, letters of invitation, T-shirts, press clippings, and photograph albums. Correspondence from 1990 onward is often written by the Associative Director of Media Relations Jan Fitzpatrick.

Churchill, Winston, 1874-1965

The Winston Churchill Commencement Materials contains letters, telegrams, memoranda, clippings, and other items relating to Churchill's speech and honorary degree. Correspondents include Winston Churchill, Fred Hovde, and Alan Valentine. A collection of additional photographs and postcards was received from the Minneapolis Collection at the Minneapolis Public Library in March 2004.

The Writers Workshop Collection consists of primarily of photographs taken by James S. Peck. Mr. Peck was formerly the Director of Public Relations for the Graduate School of Management (today the Simon Graduate School of Business). He had also handled public relations and promotional activities for Dean Robert Koch of the University School, which included both the Writers Workshop and the University Summer Theater. The collection also contains the annual flyers or programs for most of the years of the series.
