Consists of 166 audiocassette tapes recording conversations between retired investigative journalist Joseph Kahn and reporters, editors, and other media personalities invited to his courses at the New School for Social Research between 1979 and the early 1990s. Participants include Pete Hamill, Nick Pileggi, Gay Talese, and Murray Kempton, among many others. Frequent guests include Sidney Zion, Liz Smith, and Jack O'Brien.

Laura Auricchio was an art history professor at The New School, 2002-2019, who also served in several administrator roles. This born-digital collection consists of course materials and administrative records from her tenure as a faculty member and administrator, primarily in the roles of chair of humanities for the Schools of Public Engagement and dean of the School of Undergraduate Studies.

Originally located in six renovated brownstones on West 21st Street in New York City, The New School for Social Research reopened in 1931 in a new building at 66 West Twelfth Street in Greenwich Village, designed by Joseph Urban (1872-1933). The collection consists of drawings of Urban's original building at 66 West Twelfth Street, drawings for the expanded campus in the 1950s, and plans of other renovations and expansions at the site.

As of 2021, all New School course data is input into Banner through an interface called Tableau. This collection contains course data that has either been downloaded from Banner or from other New School websites. This collection largely documents the activities of the New School Publicity Office during the 1940s and 1950s, and reflects the range of activities of the department under the leadership of Agnes De Lima, who directed the department for two decades. The collection includes notes and draft materials for the production of press releases, articles in the weekly New School Bulletin, advertisements and course promotion, and administrative materials. Also includes materials related to the organization of art exhibitions and special events, and transcripts of radio announcements and speeches. The Dramatic Workshop, École Libre des Hautes Études and Graduate Faculty series in this collection are especially rich in describing the work of these important New School programs.

The School of Drama, the dramatic arts program of The New School's College of Performing Arts, grew out of an affiliation with the Actors Studio initiated in the 1990s. This record group primarily documents student performances in the form of publicity materials, such as posters, postcards, fliers, and other print formats advertising individual productions and seasons. The record group also contains numerous clippings and printouts of online reviews. Video documentation of performances spans 1997 through 2002, while print records cover academic years up through 2018.

The New You Peer Health Advocates oral history project consists of five interviews with the founders and alumni of The New You, The New School's peer health advocacy program. The New You was founded in 2010 by Rachel Knopf Shey and Tamara Oyola-Santiago, co-directors of Wellness and Health Promotion at The New School. In 2019, Wellness and Health Promotion was eliminated and Knopf Shey and Oyola-Santiago transitioned into new roles at the university. This oral history project was undertaken on the occasion of this change in leadership in order to document the efforts and impact of peer health advocates at The New School.
