Atwater, Edward C.

The AIDS Education Collection contains material related to Dr. Edward Atwater's acquisition of the AIDS education posters. This collection includes two series: Subject Files and Outreach Efforts. The materials in Series 1 include the sub-series: Correspondence, research notes, and contacts, which provides information associated with international organizations and individuals. The second series include evidence of the extensive outreach efforts launched by various countries to combat the epidemic. This series is comprised of eleven sub-series: International Maps and Travel guides; Condoms; Periodicals, Guides, and General Education materials; Pamphlets; Comic Books and Illustrated materials; Gallery and Exhibition materials; Clothing; Small Booklets and Pamphlets; Postcards; Videos; and Slides of Posters.

Gasler, Aleksandr Nikolaevich, 1880-approximately 1965

The collection consists primarily of Gasler's 26-part manuscript memoirs (ca. 1,350 p.), which discuss his family, his military career, World War I, the emigration in France, and interwar Latvia. The collection also includes Gasler's service record and passport, several postcards, and several clippings.

Bobrinskoĭ, Alekseĭ Alekseevich, 1893-1971

Papers of Aleksei Alekseevich Bobrinskoi include correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, postcards and printed materials. Correspondence include five postcards addressed to A. A. Bobrinskoi. Manuscripts consist of typescripts of A. A. Bobrinskoi's writings, including bio and memoir piece about his father; his radio scripts, article and letter of protest. Among the documents there are materials relating to the reimbursement to British citizens for debts and losses contracted in Russia, Russkii Natsional'nyi Komitet v Londone, medical prescriptions, business cards. Photographs include pictures of Benckendorff and Dolgorukii family members. Printed materials include genealogy of the Bobrinskoi family, periodicals, flyers, poster, clippings.

Lobeck, A. K. (Armin Kohl), 1886-1958

Papers of Lobeck while he was in Paris as Assistant to the Chief Cartographer of the American Commission to Negotiate Peace. Included are memorabilia, some correspondence, several docuements, and some photographs. The correspondence consists of his letters of appointment from Robert Lansing, Secretary of State, and his postcards to his wife, Bertha Merrill Lobeck, who later joined him in Paris. There are official documents such as passports, Commission memoranda, identification cards, and passes. Of particular interest are sixteen photographs of persons and places in France, and one drawing and one caricature of Lobeck that he sketched. The collection, however, is chiefly memorabilia of Lobeck's crossing the Atlantic on the U.S.S. George Washington with the members of the Commission; over 700 picture postcards, with no messages, of the Lobeck's travels in France, Spain, Great Britain, and other European countries; railway, subway, and bus maps, schedules, and tickets; tourist maps; hotel and restaurant receipts and menus; money; ration coupons; and theater programs.

Berenson, Bernard, 1865-1959

Fifty-eight letters, including three fragments of letters, from Berenson to Prince Paul of Yugoslavia (1893-1976), 1935-1949. The letters deal with art and esthetics, travel, international affairs, and the personal lives of Berenson and Prince Paul. All are autograph and signed with initials. Included are a postcard photograph of Berenson at ages twenty-one and seventy-one, and an autograph letter from Arthur Bliss Lane to Prince Paul.

Post, Catherine, 1899-

The collection consists of manuscripts, photographs, original watercolors, clippings and printed materials. The collection primarily concerns Ms. Post's family in Russia before the Revolution and in the emigration in France and the U.S.A. and to Boris Bakhmetev who was the ambassador of the Russian provisional government to the United States, later chairman of the Lyon Match company in Long Island City where Ms. Post worked for many years.
