The Homer Collins Papers consists of one series: Photographs. There is one photograph album and two folders with loose photographs. These photographs date from ca. 1872-1879.

The Hooker Family Papers, 1790 to 1963 are arranged in five sections: correspondence, 1820 to 1930; financial and legal papers, 1790 to 1920; diaries and petty cash books, 1852 to 1926; miscellaneous papers, 1820 to 1963; and photograph albums, ca 1860's - 1890's. Sixteen of the twenty-seven boxes contain correspondence.

The Horsford Family Papers comprises a collection of papers created by various members of the Horsford, Gardiner, and L'Hommedieu families.

Correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, memorabilia, business records, book catalogs and other printed materials of Louis and Marguerite Cohn and their customers, associates and friends. Correspondents include Stephen Vincent Benʹet, Robert Frost, T.S. Eliot, and Marianne Moore, all among the authors represented in the Crown Octavos series published by the House of Books; there are also manuscripts, proofs and correspondence with printers for this series. Other correspondents include Cyril Connolly, W. Somerset Maugham and Tom Stoppard. Also in the collection are letters and manuscripts from the stock of the shop; notable among these are a series of Graham Greene letters and pages from an autograph book which contains entries from many turn of the century American Literary figures. The collection also include the personal memorabilia of the Cohn and Arnold families. Louis Cohn's participation in World War I as an officer in the French Army is recorded in photographs, documents and memorabilia. Marguerite's childhood collections, among them many early greeting cards, are also included.

Personal and professional papers of comics artist Howard Cruse (1944-2019). Cruse was author of the graphic novel Stuck Rubber Baby (1995), the comic strips Wendel (1983-1989) and Barefootz (1971-1979), and founding editor of the anthology Gay Comix (1980-1991).

The Howard "Stretch" Johnson Papers document the life of Howard Johnson, known for most of his life as "Stretch." Johnson was a tap dancer with the Duke Ellington Orchestra and performed in Harlem at the Cotton Club and the Apollo Theater in the 1930s. After joining the Communist Party of the United States of America in 1940, Johnson went on to engage in social activism for most of his life, living in a number of places, including Brazil, Galveston, Texas, Hawaii, Paris, and St. Croix. The Papers contain correspondence, both personal and work related, as well as a nearly finished typescript of Stretch's autobiography. There are a number of photographs, mainly copies of the various performers at the Cotton Club, as well as audio and videocassettes, and ephemera. Additionally, the collection contains a family scrapbook with photos from the late 1940s and early 1950s.

The Hudson Guild Records document the institution from its origins in the 1890s, when it organized clubs for Chelsea boys, to its work a century later, when it provided a wide range of social services to West Side residents.

The Hung-Hsun Ling papers document Ling's life as a railway engineer and his contribution to the development of rail infrastructure in China during the Republican period. The papers include two manuscripts of his autobiographies and 14 photographs depicting him as an engineer taken during and after the construction of various railway projects in China and other locations dating from 1916 to 1965, as well as a portrait of him at age 80. The papers also include five books related to the history and the development of railways in China written in Chinese by Ling from 1954 to 1977.
