John Jay II was a graduate of Columbia college and an abolitionist. This collection includes letters, legal and financial documents, newspaper clippings, writings, photographs, circulars, and pamphlets.

George Hamlin (1868-1923) was an American tenor. His daughter, Anna (1900-1988), was a soprano and voice instructor. The George and Anna Hamlin papers, dating from 1868 to 1983, document the careers of both vocalists through clippings, diaries, autograph books, programs, publicity materials, scores, photographs, and correspondence.

Harold Bauer was a prominent American pianist of the early and mid-twentieth century. Most of the letters in this collection were written to Isabel Pelham Shaw Lowell (Mrs. Frederick) and Mrs. George R. Shaw during the first World War. They reflect his work as a founder of L'Aide Affectueuse aux Musiciens, an aid organization for French musicians, and his opinions about the war.

The David Abrahamsen Research Files consist primarily of drafts and notes for Abrahamsen's studies on Jack the Ripper and Richard Nixon. Correspondence with David Berkowitz, the Son of Sam serial killer, is also held in the collection.

Personal papers documenting aspects of local communal leader Morris Mesch. Materials include photographs, newspaper clippings, and other ephemera related to the community Holocaust Memorial Sculpture and volunteer activities and efforts.

Two scrapbooks documenting the life and career of George F. Rand, Jr. One scrapbook was assembled after Rand's death and contains clippings regarding Rand's passing. The other scrapbook was assembled in the mid-1930s and highlights Rand's career in Buffalo, N.Y.

Research files on the children's book author Dare Wright (1914-2001) and her family, compiled by journalist Jean Nathan. Nathan's biography of Wright, The Secret Life of the Lonely Doll, was published by Henry Holt and Company in 2004.

The collection consists of Mr. Herald Price Fahringer's case documents, publications, and personal materials from 1951-2015. The collection also includes Mr. Fahringer's plaques and awards. The materials in this collection were collected, created, and used by Mr. Herald Price Fahringer. These materials were donated to the Charles B. Sears Law Library at the University at Buffalo after his death in 2015.
